Re: Star Wars: Best in 2D or 3D?
I saw it in 3D. Cinema screen was dirty which was annoying but apart from that I would have preferred to see it in 2D. The distant scenes in 3D makes everything look like models with tiny people in them - at least that was how it looked to me.

I agree. 3D makes everything seem so far away. 2D brings the actors up as close as the theater screen and makes them seem bigger than life.

He's right. It was predictable and boring. Poorly written. The worst from the Star Wars franchise.

Rent it on DVD or wait for Netflix. Don't waste your time.

I saw it in 3-D and it was ok but I would have settled for 2-D if it were not that I was also paying to be seated in a better theater with a more respectable crowd.

Re: Star Wars: Best in 2D or 3D?
I was lucky enough to see this movie before anyone else at the midnight
showing.
I watched in 3D, but will go 2D this week.

My opinions on Star Wars in 3D...
The experience was mostly good, there are some brilliant stand out scenes, but there are some obvious opotunitys missed.

The film has extream depth in location shots etc, 3D does add to it, but not always.

Truth be told I went 3D because I hoped one scene would be given the full 3D treatment, a hyper space jump.
For some reason the film makers didn't agree.

The lasers etc cause some weird screen drag when you turn your head.

In short I would actually recommend both hahah.
You will want to see it again.

Re: Star Wars: Best in 2D or 3D?
3D even on the 8k or 16k screens tends to suck, well not suck but its hard to watch it and a little irritating to the eyes, and does not really add that much immersion.. Its more comfortable to watch it in 2D and just become immersed by being more relaxed and comfortable.

It all depends what your mom can afford. 3d might be a little more expensive so ask her when you come up from the basement.
