When last person you know dies this happeneds

As i get older it becomes clear most of us will never be remebered 50yrs after were gone

I told my 8 yr old last night,look at what really matters not the toys you got for christmas ,thier joy wont last but love yhe ones around you thats what will matter in the end .he agreed .

I can't think about this, my head spins. All the heart aches suffering, and if your lucky good times, all for no one to remember or care. My head can't wrap around it.

True, and in a blink of an eye it is gone.

If you think that's bad, go to an auction of a recently deceased person. 10 seconds prior to the sale you get a tad bit of the family history, all there shit is thrown into boxes and the fight is on.

After a walk thru a real old cemetery, you will be able to wrap your head around it. It is not a pleasant experience.

Not only that, it's very disturbing to listen to people talk about other people:

"oh, he has cancer"

"Oh, they had a heart attack and died"

etc etc etc as if nothing is ever going to happen to them. It's sad and almost comical at times people are just fucking stupid all there is to it.

Not all that far away, I must respect statistics..

This is exactly why you have to live your life for yourself and to the fullest.

I am middle aged, if I could go back I would have said no a lot less often.

This is true. I went into a cemetery on one day, the day of someone I love who died, it was his birthday. Because the flowers were out, it was spring, I walked and walked and I was lost, I didn't know which way was out and got to a river edge with old, very old graves.

The wind blew, it was a strange wind and I felt suddenly not alone, but I was alone. When I finally found someone, a worker there tending, he pointed to which way was out. And it was the next morning, and when I got home, it was the morning my father had died. I lost a day, and left the day he died.

And get this. He had left directions to where he wanted to be buried. And that was the cemetery, although not one person from our family is buried there. And the river? Across from it is where my dad used to play along that same river.

I know where abandoned cemeteries are in the woods. Stones falling over, some have been stolen. If i'm in the area on my 4 wheeler and there are some wild flowers out I will occasionally put one on them. Most of these are family plots, probably just buried them on their personal land when you could still do that and have since been forgot about.

My sisterin law died suddenly for three days wierd stuff happened around my wife,her sister.
A phone was taking pics inside my wifez purse while it was not on she keep hearing noises and went and looked and found that happing,.

While I understand your thinking, I KNOW they live on in spirit. When I think about those who have passed I do send them my thoughts of love and I believe they know they are not forgotten. Even when one sees a name on a tombstone one could communicate with thought to that person ......and who knows how it may be answered??? It is important that we are all loved no matter what we did in our life here in the physical.

Who cares. How self absorbed can we get..even after death we still "need" for something? We'll be on the next level..fuck it.

We are all just having a human experience. That's all this is. We are MUCH more than this material existence. Now why we incarnate over and over is something I'm a little fuzzy on but...the few decades we're here on Earth---gathering material possessions---- is NOT what we're about. Nor is it important to be remembered afterward because we are all connected on the other side.
We choose to live this singularity existence as an experience. We chose this!!

Yea and it seems that the human experience never really evolves...It's the same over the last few thousand years. Read the bible. Same shit. Murder, jealousy, fornication, betrayal, revenge, begatting, power, control, lies, conspiracies, disasters, natural disasters, wars, births, deaths, illnesses, injuries, prophesies, accidents. What in the hell has changed?

Hell - even in 2015: beheadings, stonings, rape, brutality.

How many generations of this earthly existence will it take to really evolve as sentient beings? The only thing that changes is technology. The human condition is exactly the same as the day Eve ate the apple. If I was God, I'd be so incredibly bored of Humans by now.

I belive we made a choice to become human to prove we could do it.before we were with god and after were gone we go back to him

Please allow me to give you another point of view... There are children born in each generation called to be the keepers of family histories/memories. It can take the form of documenting verbal or written stories. Some of those children also tend to take up the interest of recording basic history of people who have impacted their own lives. They may not even be related by blood. I am the keeper of not only my own family history. But I also hold "treasure" from a few special people who shared their joys & pain with me beginning when I was a young girl. I'm still around after 50+ years. I still honor those special people who are not forgotten by me or mine. I know there are many others out there, such as myself. People remember.
