it would have to be done before the child was 7 years old, after that, all titles are siezed under maritime salvage laws. to try and do it later is nearly impossible.
one would face the same issues legally as those who went on the crusades and returned more than 7 years later to get their estates back. most estates where placed in trust to the Roman Catholic Church or the Crown and when the rightful heirs did return, most never regained their properties.
same goes today, also, the mother and father would have to deal with the fact the paperwork shows the "mother"/"witness" testimony that she used her "madien name" meaning she and the father where not married when the child was born. that testimony means the child was a baststard and all bastard children are wards of the state.
after 7 years, it probably won't happen.

I was reading the black card thread and found a link there to a .pdf someone made about there dealings with correcting the information on their childrens BC so that their names were no in all capital letters on the certificate. what happened there was very interesting!
basically, vital stats admitted there was a mistake and said to send it back in and they would send out the corrections but what they got back was not a BC, it was a COLB. so they went back to get a new BC after that and the record was sealed!
batman and boris point out that we never signed these BCs, our own signatures are not on them so we are making false claims by using them!
I think this is why people are having them authenticated and then either signing them or turning them over to an agent of the US.
KW says that the BC is an agency and that we are appointed by the US to be agents and that when we first use the BC as identification (which it actually says not to be used as) at that time we ratify the appointment. so now we can resign the agency or novate the contract.
it really is the topic of all topics. I dont know why more people are not looking into this stuff.
