Respect your faith and beliefs, however, everything you have indicated; found in this book has developed, peaked and faded away many times.
Take world war II for example...
However, then, for many people, it was 10X more severe than we experience today (so far).
It has been 2000 Years! TWO THOUSAND YEARS!! TWO THOUSAND YEARS!!!
