The first verse listed Dan 8:23 we learn that the antichrist does not appear until after the gog magog war, and the gog magog war happens before the great tribulation.
The second one that I am examining now - we know from 2 thes 2 he goes in the temple and declares he is god, but what we get from Dan 11:36 - he exalts himself above god, meaning
he thinks he is even superior than God.
Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done
