Each of the verses in this list provides us with a wealth of information about the antichrist in and of themselves.

The first verse listed Dan 8:23 we learn that the antichrist does not appear until after the gog magog war, and the gog magog war happens before the great tribulation.

The second one that I am examining now - we know from 2 thes 2 he goes in the temple and declares he is god, but what we get from Dan 11:36 - he exalts himself above god, meaning he thinks he is even superior than God.

Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done

Here is a review of the verses I'm commenting on:

He thinks of himself so highly - that he can't find any good in anyone - not even the God of the universe.

I imagine he's quite garrulous, using flattery to deceive many, because this is what we are told he uses to gain power and influence in the world.

Sure - the bible does talk about antichrist - if you read further in John, he tells us an antichrist is anyone who denies Jesus and the Father:

1 John 2:18

Yes, there is a false prophet in the bible:

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Forgot to mention that - yes - there is a physical temple that will exist by the time the antichrist appears:

2 Thes 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

I do agree with you - the 7 year covenant is not necessarily a peace treaty.
