To illustrate this and that it applies to end times I will quote 3 more verses: Daniel 11:31 ...{he} shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. 36 ...he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god
Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days {to the end of time}. And in Daniel 12:1 Michael God's Archangel chimes in to warn us that "and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time": aka "the great tribulation" Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:21 So when Jesus advises us to look to Daniel (the prophet) for more information: Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) ---- We can better understand what Jesus refers to from verses 15 through 21 in Daniel 11 & 12.
