In my experience, you'll find more true info on magic in movies, TV shows, and especially children's cartoons than you will in any 'book on magic' available to the public. Though it can be difficult to see if you don't know what it is.

You can also study satanism and dark spirituality, as that info has not been suppressed as much as light spirituality, and then just invert it to turn it into light spirituality (darkness is just light turned upside down and inside out).
