Anonymous Coward User ID: 70819465 Puerto Rico 01/13/2016 12:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "If there is a war confronting Iran and Saudi Arabia, oil could overnight go to above $250, but decline [back] down to the $100 level,” said Askari. “If they attack each other’s loading facilities, then we could see oil spike to over $500 and stay around there for some time depending on the extent of the damage.” Quoting: Taskforce88 [link to oilprice.com] OR because every country in the world has it's own glut of oil and nobody is using it, oil will see $10 to teen price. Quoting: Lady Jane Smith You are right though, if they do stat a hot war and start attacking production facilities and/or transportation means, the price will surge. That is why I do not understand people who going out to buy gas guzzlers just because the price is now dropped. It will not stay this way forever -- just look at the price history of gasoline in today's dollars. Lady Jane, I believe the people buying the gas guzzlers are the ones who pay no attention to what is going on in the world, politically or otherwise. Also, they have not personally felt the sting of the recession/depression, or they believe it was a once in a lifetime thing and won't happen again. This is what I witness with my own extended family & friends. And I'm in Texas, lol, tons of huge vehicles... I am female, as was the first kitten, Raye, I helped bring into this world and had the treasure of giving her love for 7 1/2 short years. My handle here is in her honor. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71230805 United States 01/13/2016 04:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | US has their our sources now with fracking as well as mexico and Canada. North America will be swimming in oil for the next 150 years. Just that it'll be $70-$80 a barrel because of the higher costs of that form of extraction. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70664444 Errrr, No. There is not that much oil within known U.S. reserves. Strategic national policy has always been to "sip" U.S. reserves while consuming larger quantities from abroad. theres roughly 50 years of oil reserves in the US. Wrong. There's just as much oil under North America as the Middle East. But due to an international Freemason conspiracy, American aren't allowed to tap it. That could change with the right leader in America. Time to stop electing Freemasons: they are not loyal Americans; their loyalties are with interests of the Lodge, not the Interests of America. |

It has nothing to with market forces. It is a matter of national security. Obama's a manchurian pure and simple. |

Quoting: Gelatinous Mass Errrr, No. There is not that much oil within known U.S. reserves. Strategic national policy has always been to "sip" U.S. reserves while consuming larger quantities from abroad. theres roughly 50 years of oil reserves in the US. Wrong. Oil shale is a century's worth of oil for us. Read something recently that claims 2 million barrel per day surplus in world oil market is main reason for price drop...Fracking has unlocked centuries worth of oil. The huge Utah find is 40% larger than Bakken and theres no oil coming out of there yet... America is self sufficient and the sand naggers are scared. Obama sold us out yet the white, blu-collar Freemasons refuse to abandon him and the democrat party. They would rather lose their jobs than oppose Freemasonry and Obama. |
