A jackpot of 1.5 billion dollars would put the winner in the top 1%. I make over 100 thousand a year and I'm in the top 11%.

And every American citizen via birth is top 30 percent world wide automatically

The winner of this one is top 1 percent for sure.

But this one has lost its novelty for me. The winner will be tabloid followed the rest of their lives, they will be forced to be a celebrity like it or not

Lotteries are supposed to buy you privacy, this one is a backfire, this one will do opposite.

I agree, and not only will it cause lack of privacy, but also great suffering.

How many suffer from "affluenza" Like that stupid guy and his mom captured in Mexico. Does money really afford them happiness? I think not.

I personally have people in my family that would become crackheads and OD if I gave them money. I know people who would become sloth. I would give in to the temptation to live a life of luxury, but what does that serve?

I will never win, because I can see how it could potentially stop any growth and learning in the future.

We collectively are chasing a dream that will pull us closer to misery...BIG money does not solve much.


And what of the creeps and evils that you would then be surrounded with! The people who destroy the Earth, and enslave the masses, you would then become part of their club! It gags me to think of having lunch with say the Queen or Koch brothers.

I always thought so too. I like a couple scratch-offs every now and then but it's mostly a waste of time. Me and my husband laugh at all the suckers lining up in 2 hour long lines for tickets.

That being said I have won 5,000$ on keno, but I don't gamble often once in a blue moon.
