I am an Alpha Female, married, housewife/SAHM by day and comedian by night. Many of my fellow comics tell me that I am uber-masculine for a hetero female, so your doubt does not surprise me, but your problem is that you have never met a woman like me. You rut with betas, whereas, I am the fucking unicorn, and I DO exist. And you destroyed that one dude's glimmer of hope that women like me are real. Nice going, Dickcheese.

After more than 5 years working on cruise ships I can say that this life is like a magnifying glass on how our society works in regards of men/women relationships. It clearly shows how women select their partners and how screwed you are if you are not an alpha male.

It even gives you a more extreme look at reality because on cruise ships there are always more male than female crew, around 60/40 or sometimes 70/30. There is definitely not a woman for every men and women instinctively exploit this situation.

There are some ‘classes’ of women that are clearly defined.

#1: dancers
The upper class on every cruise ship are the dancers. They equal super models in our society, they always are the most attractive women on the ship, by far. Out of a crew of 700 there will be around 7 dancers on the ship. They exclusively socialize with alpha males, which will be discussed later.

#2: attractive women
They will almost never be as attractive as dancers but sometimes, if they have time to work out every day, they can. They also will be only interested in alpha males.

#3: average women
Everyone else in the range of 1-6 in looks. Sorry, but also those women will only be interested in alpha males. If the alphas are taken they will NOT settle for something less than that. They will rather decide to stay alone before hooking up with anything less than alpha males, which brings me to the male categories.

#1: officers
They are seen as the top tier for all women on cruise ships. They have high status (and a good income) and they have a big cabin with a window. They even have a double bed, and the highest ranked officers have even a bathtub. (Most crew members have to share a cabin with at least one other person, a small bathroom with a tiny shower as well as no window.) They have a white uniform with golden stripes on their shoulders, and bitches get wet when they see that.

#2: attractive men
Muscular, tall men with handsome faces are the second group of alpha males that get attention from women. They can come from lower status jobs and are therefore almost never going to hook up with dancers. But they still have a shot at other attractive women on the ship.

#3: managing personnel
Any kind of group leaders have higher status than others and are therefore attractive for some of the regular women on the ship. Usually, these ‘normal’ women will only be interested in men from group #2 or #3, but with some luck they can end up in a relationship (I belong to that group and yes, I got lucky a couple of times during the last years).

#4: everyone else
Well, you’re fucked. You will stay alone for your 6+ month’s contract. Love, sex and admiration is exclusively reserved for those few men of category #1 and #2. Don’t forget, around 80% of all male crew fall into this category.

Here is what happens every time when people start their contracts on cruise ships:

Without an exception the dancers will start a relationship with one of the officers around 2 weeks after they began their contracts. It always happens. No exception. The person behind the uniform as well as their looks is irrelevant.

I have seen grotesque matches. I remember a hideous security officer who was always miserable and looked like a pig. He was a 3 and seriously hooked up with a 7, one of the sweetest girls on the ship. She kept telling, ‘I know that people don’t like him, but he really is a good guy.’ Had she seen him in normal life without the uniform, she would not even have looked at him with her ass – that’s what a friend of mine said and he is absolutely right.

Next, there are those attractive girls who have a boyfriend back at home. During the first one or two weeks when you meet that girls in the crew bar she will tell everyone how she misses her boyfriend who she ‘loves’ so much. Here is what happens every single time: After 3 or 4 weeks this girl will start fucking an officer. Every single time. To be alone is something that those bitches can’t live with. They through their relationship back at home away after a few weeks, and all their praises for their loved ones turn out to be blatant lies.

It often happens that those women hook up with an officer that just finished a relationship with another girl one or two weeks before, because she had left the ship at the end of her contract. They know that and they don’t care. To them it is far more important that he is an alpha male than the fact that she just takes the place of another women. That he is changing these women like underpants. They know that and they still do that.
One of my friends belonged to that alpha male group. While 80% of all male crew will spend half a year without love and sex, while I got lucky once or twice but still had to stay alone most of the time – he had sex with 6 women during a period of two months.

This is how life looks like for alpha males on cruise ships. It is unbelievable – this world of love and admiration that is lived by those men – it happens in a room that is forever locked for everyone else of us.
Love, sex and admiration – it is a commodity that is free for women on the ship. And it is impossible to reach for most men. It is a bitter reality I got to learn on the ships, but this is how it looks like. And I think it has some similarities to the normal life in our society.

At least I can give you a good advice. If you are still young – go to a naval college and become an officer – then get a job on a cruise ship – you won’t have a problem with women anymore.

So, this is my experience. I see how women are only interested in alpha males and leave their dignity behind, standing in line with other women to be the next girlfriend for one of the officers. And they leave their boyfriends who are waiting back at home after a few weeks, because being alone is much harder than being loved. Too hard for women, their word of love means nothing.

I can relate to this story because I was in the Marines and women really do go for uniforms and alpha males. About 5% of jar heads were the super alpha male type and the woman were attracted to them like a magnet. But here's what the outcome usually is. The Alpha male starts cheating on his wife or girlfriend. To get even the wife cheats on him. When you go into their homes you can feel the tension between them. There's no trust, no sense of commitment. It all falls apart.

They and the media kept feeding us the blue pill that there is a someone for every man, that there is love for everyone. 'Don't look for it, then it will find you.'

Women look for those 10% in men that are most likely to guarantee them a safe life / strong and potent children. Everyone else is invisible / garbage.
Nature is in itself fascist - granting only the top 10% of attractive people the most beautiful things in life - love, admiration, sex and partnership.
It's cruel.
At least I realized this and I don't blame myself anymore that I am out of these things. It is not my fault, I was just born with minor genes, like 90% of everyone else.
What's left - get a little taste of what's possible by earning money and try to reach some kind of higher status to get a woman. Or flat out pay for it.

that anyone 'working' on a cruise ship is in employment of servitude to those coming on board (even the 'captain')... which means that the highest status position is still equal to that of a chicken at a farm....fuck that...

Hate to break it to you people living in a fantasy world but there's more to a relationship than just looks and sex.

For the love of God, don't take Op's advice. I work offshore as an able seaman. You do not want to work on a cruise ship just to get laid.

I also find it amusing that women and you see officers as alpha males. I work with tons of them and they are some of the least alpha people I've ever met. Usually they don't get put into a position of leadership because of merit or strength or attributes or anything. It is simply because they acquired the license. So you have these guys that are not leaders at all and the ship could really be run completely without them. That's the way it is around here anyway. Everybody knows how to do everybody else's job on the deck crew anyway. And we do each other's jobs. The only difference is the officers get paid more for being out here. But I could see why women would see them that way. And yes it's probably true. But the regular deck crew gets way more action than the officers on land. We don't wear uniforms.

Also, are these officers foreign or American? Because my understanding is that cruise ships hire foreigners so that they can bypass labor laws and pay them Jack shit. So, if they are foreigners it's pretty funny because the women assume they make a lot of money but they are completely wrong. Well, maybe they are Fillipino Rich or something lol. Because our company has foreign workers on our tankers and I know for sure that I make as much or more as many of the officers and I am basically a deckhand.

Two summers ago I went on a cruise with my then girlfriend and 2 friends of hers (girls).
One night we attended a music "concert" with some guy playing solo guitar and being the vocalist as well.
He was just being a copy of a famous world wide known singer from a band.
This one girl from my group got totally wet at him.

The next day we had cocktails on the deck and there he was this singer all alone having a drink.
This friend of mine went straight to talk to him,
And we joined in just for a bit to have a drink together.
