The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah

11The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”

“I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied.

12The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watchingb to see that my word is fulfilled.”

13The word of the Lord came to me again: “What do you see?”

“I see a pot that is boiling,” I answered. “It is tilting toward us from the north.”

14The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.

or maybe... the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah explaining that G-d formed Jeremiah in his mother's womb.

And Jeremiah is having a conversation with the word.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

This person Jeremiah is talking with reaches out and touches him.

One Father, One Word, One Spirit.

Hosea 12

3In the womb he grasped his brother’s heel;

as a man he struggled with God.

4He struggled with the angel and overcame him;

he wept and begged for his favor.

He found him at Bethel

and talked with him there—

5the Lord God Almighty,

the Lord is his name!

Hosea's inspired commentary seems to suggest Jacob struggled with the Lord Almighty, not just an angel.

Is this another sign of the Word that was made flesh.

So Jacob called the place Peniel,f saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

Jacob saw God, face to face and lived.

18Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

19And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

So Jacob could see Gods face and live, but God told Moses no one can see Him and live.

Why the difference?

But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim’s head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh’s head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.

15Then he blessed Joseph and said,

“May the God before whom my fathers

Abraham and Isaac walked faithfully,

the God who has been my shepherd

all my life to this day,

16the Angel who has delivered me from all harm

—may he bless these boys.

May they be called by my name

and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac,

and may they increase greatly

on the earth.”

Why did Israel ask God and the Angel to bless Joseph's children? Was Israel an idolater? Or maybe God and the Angel are very close to each other.

Jeremiah 33:14 Behold the days are coming says the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah:

Jeremiah 33:15 In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David a Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgement and righteousness in the earth.

Jeremiah 33:16 In those days Judah will be saved. And Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name by which she will be called:
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

elohim also refer to angels.

Jacob wrestled with the angel of Edom, just like Michael is the angel of Israel.

So the Angel of the Lord is God. The same who is the word appearing to Jeremiah, and the same one who came in the flesh.

Exodus

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.c This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ ”

Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

Yep elohim can be divine beings, angels, God. We agree. I don't call God a liar, address the difference between Jacob and Moses.

Eh no. When Jeremiah said Sovereign Lord, he was talking with Yehovah, God Almighty. Also, he used the word Lord, that was added by the English translators. Yehovah is the name he spoke. This can be seen from a strong concordance,
