Fuck I'm old, I'll talk to anyone..:). As long as they aren't stupid, I have no patience for people with no common sense.
In fact the older I get the more I want to talk to people. But you know what, most people do NOT want to talk, they are so self-absorbed...whats that part about hearts being waxed cold...something like that...:)

People in general are not friendly it gets worse as time goes on.

Tom Robbins wrote as the last line of one of his books (Still Life with Woodpecker) "It's never too late to have a happy childhood."

I still have no idea what that sentence had to do with the story. Nor did I know how to create that happy childhood, until I came across this video. I was brutally abused by a nanny at the age of one year's old leaving me with a broken collarbone and a smashed L-5 pars facet of the spine.

I'm 65 now. I'm now having the most wonderful childhood you can imagine. Not by wetting my jockey shorts, but in my mental attitude.

If you'll open yourself up to the video exercise a few times, I promise you that before long, more people will smile at you and want to talk to you. That's been my experience anyway.

The joy that you bring with you could assist those with no common sense. Not every time, necessarily, but more so than now.

So give it a whirl, from one elderly person to another. What was that commercial, "Try it. You'll like it!"

Before I read the whole thread and watch the videos.

Do this involve mental imagery and using your imagination?

There is just one short video. The middle part has you focusing on God's loving kindness and caring pouring down on you in the form of a waterfall made of light.

Then you picture yourself as a child at any age you'd like. Is that imagination or is that simple memory?

You'll then pass all the loving kindness you have from God to your childhood memory or imagined memory if you were to young to recall that time.

For the purpose of this exercise, you see the child separately from yourself.

You are then asked to see how that child's life would have been different if you had received all the loving kindness you needed that day.

It's vital that you feel the loving kindness being sent, and that you get an impression of how your childhood would have been different.

The day is extended to a week, a month, a year, five years etc. All along the way, you feel the loving kindness and you get an impression of how your childhood would be different. This is carried on up to your present moment.

That's it. I might have left something out, but that's what the video is for.

Thank you OP, the imagination part of my brain doesn't function at all.

I have a near photographic memory, I can only see things I have seen before; but I can't create new images or recall at a memory from a different perspective.

Sadly most self improvement exercises require visualisations.

How's your family life? Your job? Your health? Did your childhood leave a lot to be desired?

If you're like probably 90% of us or more, including myself, there are areas that need great improvement.

I've been practicing the effortless technique in this video for about three weeks now.

Not only do I feel like a new person, but at least three people have commented on how good I look recently.

To me this video is as good as finding the Holy Grail of happiness, kindness and love. Plus it is as easy as eating pie to do.

Sometimes my practice of this is for maybe two or three seconds. In that time, it's as if I've had a spa treatment for my mind and body.

Sometimes when I do this I mentally imagine friends, neighbors, or even the drivers and passengers of the cars around me, and invite them to participate if they'd like for the highest good of all concerned.

I've seen three small miracles take place in others already, and there could be a hundred more I don't know about.

How much do I believe in the power of this nearly effortless technique?

So much so that I have placed an intention to change careers or at least to branch out in a major way due to this simple video. For twenty years, my focus has been on bringing the cure for cancer to a much wider public awareness.

Curing cancer sounds like a pinnacle right? Although that news is great, there is an even bigger component in our lives that encompasses curing cancer.

I want to teach this and other power remedies to high school students and to others. It might take a year for this new career path to happen, but I'm placing that intention out there.

What is so beautiful about this effort is that, if you've ever had the least desire to make a difference in this world, you can share this video if you wish and make your life and the lives of those you touch immeasurably happier and healthier.

I'm not getting paid to share this video - I just simply love what it is doing for me and the people around me.

You and I could spread the 'infection' of loving kindness throughout the world faster than anything I've seen thus far in my life.
