I was almost seriously injured or killed in a head on collision this evening

Tonight I am re-evaluating my entire world view.

At around 8pm this evening, I was a split second away from being involved in a head on collision, which without doubt would have left me seriously injured or dead.

The vehicle I almost collided with was driving backwards on a local highway in the left lane (my left, their right) at an unknown speed, however the limit is 60mph, so I figure somewhere around there. I was driving 60mph as well.

I saw the headlights coming right towards me, and before I could even think about it, my arms were cutting the wheel to the right to avoid slamming head first into the other vehicle.


After the incident I could not believe what had just happened. I was really freaked out. I got off at the next exit, pulled into a side street, and called my wife to tell her that I love her.

People be safe out there. If I had been changing the radio station or something I would not be writing this post this evening.
