Do you have any understanding as to why Rand Paul wants to increase the military budget by $190 Billion?

Reminder, no candidate but Trump has brought out the illegal problem, the jobs problem, the china problem, the factories leaving problem, our infrastructure problem...all of this effects every single American citizen and the future for their children and of this country.

I'm not sure how anyone could try to find a reason for not voting Trump when he's obviously the only one left who acts like they care about this country.

It was pretty obvious at least a month ago that Paul's campaign wasn't going anywhere. He and the other lower-tier candidates should've dropped out then. But ego is a big motivator.

I do. It was an attempt to call out everyone else for not being fiscally conservative.
The bill actually provided budget cuts to pay for the increased military spending.

It was rejected because of the budget cuts, just like Rand thought it would.

Trump is an Alpha. He's not going to bend over for anyone and that scares the hell out of TPTB (both here and around the world). He understands how to create profitable deals. For the past however-long, the USA has taken it up the ass on every deal we've agreed to (of every kind whatsoever). I truly believe Trump will never sign on to a losing deal. He'll walk away first. I truly believe he'll secure the border if only to put his name on the wall - and if his name is on it it won't be a POS that doesn't work or falls down. I think he'll go a long way to undo the crisis 0bama has started in the Iran deal - 0bama has started a nuclear arms race in the ME for crying out loud. Trump understands cash-flows and I think he'll do a whole lot to stem the imbalance of trade we have with the rest of the world. He understands how a free market economy works. He is a builder by nature, not a destroyer.

However, beyond all that, he's not one to be intimidated. Fear is a powerful motivator and "FEAR" is what got our American hostages released by the Iranians as Reagan was inaugurated. Trump is not one to be fucked with and it's time for the rest of the world to understand that we've had it with being fucked with.

And another thing.... about his declaring BK several times in the past... he knows that when something doesn't work you CUT IT LOOSE. About 95% of the entire Federal Government needs to be CUT LOOSE and I don't think he'll be bashful in cutting shit down to size. He has a history of doing that. He's worth a try.

Someone gave me red for pointing out that Rand Paul voted yes on NDAA2012 which repealed the Smith Mundt Act and gave the Government the right to script and produce fake news stories.

Apparently, Rand thinks that we are so stupid, that we deserve to be lied to in order to push an agenda that we have no right to decide on for ourselves.

If Rand is so great, what has he done in the senate? Pandering? Not doing a damn thing.....he's a typical,politician. We need a typical politicians...not status quo.....

Rand Paul was always a weak candidate for the presidency. I think he should be house speaker. Nevertheless, Paul ran an awful campaign. When the first debate was live, Rand Paul ranted and raved about Donald Trump, and I thought it made him look very weak. He sounded like a complete bitch every time he spoke, even though I completely side with his principal.

But I think Paul never had the momentum prior to the election. I recall a lot of people turning away from him when he openly supported Romney.

As much "good" as Rand Paul stands for, he was not the right candidate. All he had to do was hold off the attacks, stick with his principal, and talk about his medical background. That's all he had to do. But his rhetoric was whiny. If you also rewatch the debates, he kept putting his head down after he made a statement. Never understood that. When he ditched the lower-card debate, that was another big mistake. Trump got away with it because he's Trump. But if I were Rand Paul, I would have attended and gave the viewership my thoughts and see myself surge.
