No one is, this is a free country they are the monarchs of the united kingdom not england.

If we have to have a crown and there is an argument to support that,( presidents Blair and Thatcher) could it be done by a ballot?

Could we just have the crown with a new monarch every ten years. Selected like a jury at random. I just feel that to ask any family to provide a monarch for a country is unreasonable. Free the royals!

Well i don't know who is the rightful monarch.. All i know is that the current royal family had to change their name to Windsor because they are German. But they have defected, they are British now, its not like they work only in the interest of Germany..... OR is it.....

At the end of the day i think it might be for the better if the monarchy were granted more powers, rather than only being symbolic. Although if used wrongly great power can be a bad thing, AKA Obama and his executive orders..

if edward iv really was illegitimate, and was not the actual son of Richard Plantagenet, as has been alleged ... then his enthronement in 1461 would be another example of ignoring the laws of succession in place ...
