Elijah as one of the two end-time witnesses....when do most people expect him to arrive?

You should have included pagan Ishtar/Easter in your poll. What will be interesting is who will take the message first , Israel or Judah?

You are expecting an actual Elijah to return, but take a closer look at the verses that reference this.

Wasn't John the Baptist declared to be an Elijah type?

You see two appearances of Elijah.....one as John the baptist and Jesus said "truly shall first come, and restore all things"

John never restored all things and "shall" is a future reference

Matthew 17:

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.


John as elijah came before the "great" day(redemption) of the lord......the final elijah will come before "the dreadful day of the lord(judgement)"

Malachi 4:5:

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

Elijah will be a representative and a sign to the people of Israel(northern kingdom) and come up from the midst of the people.........and as we know a prophet is not without honor but in his own country and his own kin, and in his house.

Mark 6:4:

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

You ,my friend, know Scripture and haven't fallen for replacement theology. That's good to see in this day an age.

There is debate then . Does Elijah fall into the priest role? If that is the case which hand is it , the king or the priest , that ushers in the fulfillment of Isaiah Ch 27 verse 9 ? A prophecy that has to be fulfilled before both houses are brought and made whole, into 1 again.

Elijah is the priest and sent to the 2ND born with firstborn birthright priestly nation....judah is the firstborn kingly nation

Isaiah 27:9 is speaking of Jacob which is the 2nd born with firstborn birthright



To correctly identify the two witnesses you divide them firstborn and 2nd born.....kingly and priestly

Because someone else besides elijah comes "before" the terrible day of the lord"(judgement)....I've not read about another who comes before the day of the lord.....do tell your opinion I would like to hear how it lines up with the word

So the story in short is this… The Son is all grown up now and will now be made manifest as the Father in Elijah and he's got the belt out...

When will he be made manifest..? He's already appeared to many and only those with eyes and ears recognize him...even though great works have not been made manifest...yet...soon...He knows only and won't tell anyone exactly...but your on the right track...waterman...

I had two visions and the Lord told me Elijah is coming! I keep all of my visions on a writing spot and I update them time to time...but it was very clear that Elijah is on His way! He is definitely one of the Two Witnesses of Revelation!
