Jeez Yanks.. get out a calculator,

0.044LD x 384,401km = 16,913.644 km

not saying it isnt close, but man....

unfortunately im from the same country as you, just making good money here.

anyway, radius of earth is 6300km which would mean a fly pass of 10,000km from sea level. not saying its not a good doom, but that 16km calculation is just plain wrong.

IMPACT! And its aftermath. In reference to Comet Temple 1 in 2005. I suppose the same or about the same is what we can expect out of the current arrival:

Source of info unknown

Projectile Diameter: 12000.00 m = 39360.00 ft = 7.45 miles
Projectile Density: 3000 kg/m3
Impact Velocity: 32.20 km/s = 20.00 miles/s
Impact Angle: 45 degrees
Target Density: 2500 kg/m3
Target Type: Sedimentary Rock

Energy:
Energy before atmospheric entry: 1.41 x 1024 Joules = 3.36 x 108 MegaTons TNT
The average interval between impacts of this size somewhere on Earth during the last 4 billion years is 4.0 x 108years
Major Global Changes:
The Earth is not strongly disturbed by the impact and loses negligible mass.
The impact does not make a noticeable change in the Earth´s rotation period or the tilt of its axis.
The impact does not shift the Earth´s orbit noticeably.

Crater Dimensions:

Transient Crater Diameter: 97.3 km = 60.4 miles
Transient Crater Depth: 34.4 km = 21.4 miles

Final Crater Diameter: 178 km = 110 miles
Final Crater Depth: 1.41 km = 0.874 miles
The crater formed is a complex crater.
The volume of the target melted or vaporized is 8850 km3 = 2120 miles3
Roughly half the melt remains in the crater , where its average thickness is 1.19 km = 0.738 miles

Thermal Radiation:
Time for maximum radiation: 6.96 seconds after impact

Visible fireball radius: 216 km = 134 miles
The fireball appears 152 times larger than the sun
Thermal Exposure: 6.17 x 109 Joules/m2
Duration of Irradiation: 2910 seconds
Radiant flux (relative to the sun): 2120

Effects of Thermal Radiation:

Clothing ignites

Much of the body suffers third degree burns

Newspaper ignites

Plywood flames

Deciduous trees ignite

Grass ignites

Seismic Effects:

The major seismic shaking will arrive at approximately 64.4 seconds.
Richter Scale Magnitude: 10.3 (This is greater than any earthquake in recorded history)
Mercalli Scale Intensity at a distance of 322 km:

IX. General panic. Damage considerable in specially designed structures; well-designed frame structures thrown out of plumb. Damage great in substantial buildings, with partial collapse. Buildings shifted off foundations. Serious damage to reservoirs. Underground pipes broken. Conspicuous cracks in ground. In alluviated areas sand and mud ejected, earthquake fountains, sand craters.

X. Most masonry and frame structures destroyed with their foundations. Some well-built wooden structures and bridges destroyed. Serious damage to dams, dikes, embankments. Large landslides. Water thrown on banks of canals, rivers, lakes, etc. Sand and mud shifted horizontally on beaches and flat land. Rails bent slightly.

Ejecta:

The ejecta will arrive approximately 264 seconds after the impact.
Average Ejecta Thickness: 24 m = 78.7 ft
Mean Fragment Diameter: 5.51 cm = 2.17 inches

Air Blast:

The air blast will arrive at approximately 976 seconds.
Peak Overpressure: 3.94e+06 Pa = 39.4 bars = 559 psi
Max wind velocity: 1570 m/s = 3520 mph
Sound Intensity: 132 dB (Dangerously Loud)

Damage Description:

Multistory wall-bearing buildings will collapse.

Wood frame buildings will almost completely collapse.

Multistory steel-framed office-type buildings will suffer extreme frame distortion, incipient collapse.

Highway truss bridges will collapse.

Highway girder bridges will collapse.

Glass windows will shatter.

Cars and trucks will be largely displaced and grossly distorted and will require rebuilding before use.

Up to 90 percent of trees blown down; remainder stripped of branches and leaves.

TUNGGUSKA EXPLOSION - 1908 - Description:

The momentous event happened at 7.15 a.m. local time on the last day of June 1908. At that precise moment, an object brighter than the morning sun ripped through the atmosphere over Siberia. A trainload of passengers on the trans-Siberian railway stared in horror at the towering pillar of flame roared through the clear blue skies at a phenomenal velocity of around one mile per second. ...

Almost 350 miles to the north of the train, the nomadic hunting tribes of the Evenki people felt the ground shake violently as they witnessed what seemed to be a second sun racing across the heavens. ...

The detonation occurred at a height of five miles, and the 12-mega-ton explosion (it might have even been 30 mega-ton) destroyed everything within a radius of 20 miles. ... At the center of the explosion a monstrous mushroom cloud rose steadily over Siberia. ... The blast from the Tunguska explosion felled trees as if they were matchsticks for 20 miles around and set whole forests alight.

The shockwave generated by the mysterious cataclysm traveled around the world twice and shook the recording pens of the microbarographs at three meteorological stations in London, where they were interpreted as seismic jolts from some distant earthquake.

At a distance of 400 miles from the epicenter of the Tunguska blast, the relentless shockwave showed no signs of abating, and knocked fishermen from their boats on the River Kan. By the time the blast had deteriorated into a hurricane-like storm, a strange black rain started to fall over the Tunguska valley. ...

Geo stationary sats are at double the distance , may wipe a few of them

A geostationary equatorial orbit (GEO) is a circular geosynchronous orbit in the plane of the Earth's equator with a radius of approximately 42,164 km (26,199 mi) (measured from the center of the Earth). A satellite in such an orbit is at an altitude of approximately 35,786 km (22,236 mi) above mean sea level.

"...there is still uncertainty on the date of closest approach. Although asteroid 2013 TX68 may pass by Earth on March 8 at 00:06 UTC (March 7 at 7:06 pm ET), the time uncertainty is 2 days, which means the space rock may be passing by our planet sometime between the evenings of March 5 and 9.

The uncertainty of the exact date of closest approach as well as the precise orbit, is due to the fact that asteroid 2013 TX68 was just observed during 10 days (including the new found pre-discovery images), which is still a short time to precisely define an orbit."

Possible impacts

2013 TX68 was listed on the Sentry Risk Table.[3] However, it is not listed as a potentially hazardous asteroid because it is less than 100 meters (330 ft) in diameter.[2] With an insignificant 1-day observation arc, it was listed on the Sentry Risk Table with a 1 in 20 million chance it could impact Earth on March 5, 2016,[6] but that threat was quickly ruled out. With a short 3-day observation arc, it was listed on the Sentry Risk Table with a 1 in 300 million chance it could impact Earth on September 28, 2017.[3] The nominal (best-fit) solution shows that 2013 TX68 should be around 1.5AU from Earth on 28 Sep 2017.[7] It was removed from the Sentry Risk Table on 11 February 2016 when precovery images gave it a 10-day observation arc.[5]

If it were ever to impact Earth, it would likely create a large fireball in the sky and possibly an impact crater 100–575 meters (328–1,886 ft) across, assuming an impact angle of less than 45 degrees.

If I remember correctly, there was an asteroid that flew between the satellites and earth on the same day as the large meteor in Russia.

Someone pull that information in.

Tptb said that it could NOT be related because they were moving in different directions.

Let's just see what happens with this one - if a chunk breaks off.

And that today is 666 days after "the beast" supposedly flew by at 777,000 miles as the papist was busy chanting with islam and Judaism in the pyramid Virgin mary garden at the vatican?
