Because that's all I see on here. Alphas are assholes/badboys.

The entire description was way off.
"The alpha male type is an asshole. He will hurt people, he will even hurt YOU if it serves him. He is willing to do whatever he needs to get his way. He is capable of telling a lie. He will fight because he wants others to see him win."

Alpha males are probably THE most honest out of all men, that's why people THINK they're 'assholes.' Because they tell you like it is! It's true, they don't care if you're going to like it or not or if will hurt you. Don't want the truth, then don't ask them. And if it hurts you, it's most likely for your own good anyway. To say they lie is about the furthest thing from the truth.

They're also the LEAST selfish men out there. I don't know any alpha that puts himself first, in fact, they put themselves LAST. Alpha men take care of their families and would be there for their friends in a heartbeat.

They're hardworking, they do NOT rely on 'lies' or manipulation to get ahead (which from what I read in this thread is one of the keys to a sigma; how can a manipulator be 'authentic'?). They are natural leaders and they lead through their actions.
