To the contrary, the Jews are here to bring blessings to the world. The first blessing being that there is but ONE God and this ONE GOD is accessible to anyone who calls out to him. Another blessing the Jews brought to the world is the seventh day Shabat, a day of rest for everyone.

The Hebrew Bible is a book with many authors. Each author, endowed with the Holy Spirit, wrote about the nature of the relationship between God and men. The idea that God actually communicated to mere mortals in a one on one experience meant to demonstrate that we don't need priests or prophets for our connection with the Divine.

Actually, the Jews are not God's chosen people. They are not chosen, they are designed. Choosing means you must examine several things for their qualities and then take the most suitable part, apart from the group. God knows the nature of everything from before its manifestation in the solid world. God is the designer and creator and there is nothing in the universe that is unknown to him. Never the less, one must begin to see that God is like a story book writer and He determines the qualities of what is both good and what is most bad in the stories of our lives that are playing out in this universe and others.

God has designed the Jewish people as part of an unfolding destiny which will influence finally the whole world.
