Not too many people have a car in New York, but if you're on heavy meds, you may not want to operate a motor vehicle. 9/10ths of your RX suggest you don't.

My doc has been using electronic scrpts for months here in NY. I had my bag stolen with almost an entire months supply of a medication in it. My doc would not write me a script to cover the loss because "they are watching him".

Just another unintended consequence of bigger government.

Its already caused issues with a number of my meds and the law has not even actually began yet. I also am on nothing heavy either.


If I went to another state and needed a few day emergency supply, that would probably be ok but it just makes it a pain in the ass to reach out to the doc for something that used to be simple and routine.

Did you file a police report? A copy of the Police report given to the DR. should suffice to cover any suspicion on his part.

Obviously these are the adjustment days, and questions like this will be addressed and sorted out as they always are.

Blame the government, not the doctor. If a doctor prescribes anything the government sees as "suspicious", they could really screw the doctor over.

He refills the meds, retains a copy of the report, and with no further repetitive patterns...if "The Man" starts asking questions he shows them the report, also from "The Man" and it's a wash.

They would have to have a long history of this sort of thing with individual paitents to go after the Doctor for abuse.

In a perfect world, doctors would be able to prescribe whatever they feel is necessary. If an addict happens to OD, that's his fault and the doctor shouldn't be blamed any more than a liquor store employee should be blamed for selling a drunk driver alcohol.
