Quoting: Osmium76 I know this to be true, because every time I have used it, my wife treats me like I had some kind of affair with another woman, she literally freaks out, stops talking to me after telling me we are through, but she never justifies valid reasoning for her deranged and irrational behavior? I mean really, I have a valid medical condition which warrants its use and live in a state where it is allowed for not only recreational use, but also for medical use. Not to mention, she has used it herself many times without a hitch or issue and has other family members that do so also without singling them out? It doesn't do any good to point out to her that her daily and hourly cigarette use, her daily $4.00 coffee and her pointless aversion to all things vegetable are on par with her delusional ravings against my personal use of cannabis and that cigarettes are in fact far worse for her than cannabis has ever been or will ever be for anyone, let alone little ole' me. Somehow, it is OK for her to make choices which I do not agree with, but which I accept as her right to engage in while still loving her regardless, but God forbid that I receive the same courtesy and respect from her. I guess that speaks volumes about a love she claims she has/had for me, because someone who loves you doesn't treat you that way right? Well, that contrast of supreme contradiction certainly deserves to have a spotlight on it in light of that revelation I think. So, I got to thinking hard on the matter. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I as a registered voter, voted to ban cigarette use in business establishments in our state and that initiative passed just about the time we started dating? She was pissed when she found out I voted in favor of the ban, but honestly, I was only thinking of all of those poor people who have to work in the stagnant second hand smoke and don't have a choice in the matter. It had nothing to do with her right to smoke. Perhaps this is her way of holding me responsible for that passing. She sure bitched about having to go outside and smoke a cigarette at the bar when she was still on pool leagues. I bet that is what it is......unbridled malice pure and simple. That is the only thing I can think why she would single me out for this pointless rejection of something I champion and believe to be a boon for civilized society. It is also something I believe is granted by the good Lord above and meant for all people to use as they deem necessary for the greater good of mankind. Someone who truly loved me would accept me for who I am and wouldn't dictate unreasonable terms such as this right? Well, I have had it, I am exposing the bullshit for what it is. I deserve someone who loves me for the person I already am. It is clear that if you can't love me for that, then you don't really love me. People who attempt to coerce love from someone else by withholding that stated love when they don't get their way are narcissistic sociopaths best to be avoided. While I do love her, it is not returned in like manner, so what it boils down to is that she didn't just lie to me, but I was also too stupid to realize it at the time, but that now, is no longer true. I am awake and I won't be subjected to her manipulation any longer. I am done. I deserve to be treated with respect and dignity and as an equal, not like some child she feels she has the right to punish by withholding the very things which serve to establish the foundation of a healthy marriage to begin with. I hope one of her agents on here show this to her. At least now they too will know the truth of the matter. I doubt it will phase her, as anyone can plainly see and as I point out, narcissists like her don't give a damn, it is all about them. So be it, but at least the truth came out and I feel better having said my piece.  Try having a conversation with your wife. This rant is based upon every conversation on the topic I have had with her. This is the whole of it.....always. |
