Now do a version where you bring your bassline forward a bit, add some hall reverb to your piano, and just shorten the longplay of the loops to about half the original length. What type of equipment/software are you using? Good work. Keep it up. The big shots tried to hold it back; Fools tried to wish it away The hopeful depend on a world without end; Whatever the hopeless may say |

Epic Metal
User ID: 68041961 United States 03/28/2016 08:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I write songs myself so here is some criticism. 2 minutes in and it's still the same loop... change it up, I'm bored. The snare is way too loud. Turn it down a few db so it sits better in the mix. The piano sounds so flat and like it was played on a 50 dollar keyboard. Bring up the 5k-6k hz frequencies too add more dynamics and brightness and like the poster above said some reverb. 4 minutes in... song ending... still the same loop... wow really? 4 minutes of the same loop and then it just ends abruptly. I wonder if you did any EQing or mastering at all with this song. To me it sounds like you just glued some preset beats together and called it your song. You need to be more creative. Sorry I had no positive things to say but you seem to still be learning. I'd recommend just drenching yourself in whatever information you can find about songwriting, structure, mixing, mastering, etc. In a few years you should have a good basis. Trump 2016! |

I didn't use any preset beats. I agree that it is repetitive, but I still like it. It's definitely my beat, I didn't copy anything. Brawndo's got electrolytes. |
