The Flat Earth theory falls apart with the summers on the Southern Hemisphere.

Because in no way it's possible to have 24hour midnight on antarctica or even 15 hour daytimes in Southern Island of New Zealand or Southern Argentina if the earth is flat.

Tyson found out that he gets paid better appearing on shows and movies than it is to be a real scientist. Seriously, I would do the same thing. Engineers and Scientists got shafted completely in the 90's when Congress cut all funding for it and major companies stopped doing any research. If you didn't move to Europe, you ended up in a dead end job that was either you accepting a pay cut or training your Indian replacement. Now in the US, the average salary for new engineers have dropped to new lows it's absurd, some even match minimum wage workers low.

You shouldn't see Neil DeGrasse Tyson as a sellout, rather you should see him as the end result of what our politicians have done to our country that our educational system has been reduced to absolute crap and our society worships reality stars instead of striving to be an intellectual, forcing our intellectuals to become what he has become or become a homeless person.

Everything he's saying are theories of other "scientists", so he can read books. Well some people have knowledge and others just education I guess.

I think you're onto something. I felt I recognized him when I saw him online within the past few years. I can't help but feel I'd seen him somewhere before. These people are all essentially part time actors, that's what lying is, but I lived in NYC 26 years and went to dozens of casting calls and auditions and he looks familiar. He comes off as very disingenuous either way, and the comments he made on TV about the "earth not being a sphere, but more egg shaped" really stood out to me, he is definitely somebody's mouthpiece.
