So long as you need to believe that the people you love belong to you, you will come up against great conflicts. The time will eventually come when you will be obliged to accept that they do not belong to you, and then you will suffer, or you will make them suffer. The man who imagines that his wife belongs to him does not think that she already existed well before he knew her, and that she will exist well after him. Before him, in other incarnations, she had other husbands, and he also had other wives. Moreover, if they had been together forever, problems would never arise between them; but since they are often in conflict, this proves that there is no truly solid bond between them, and that perhaps they are even meeting for the first time. So, there is no point in them deluding or tormenting themselves; men and women must realise that they are colleagues, that they must work as best they can and be honest, and that is all. And if they succeed in forming a good relationship with each other, they may find themselves together again in another life.
