I know at least 5 people in my own personal circles who either ARE on SSDI or KNOW SOMEONE on SSDI for 'nonspecific made up psychological reasons' and I think it is downright absurd. As a recovering drug addict I've met NUMEROUS people (in halfway houses and treatment centers) who talk about going to MHMR, coaching either other on what to say and how to act and then winding up on a disability check so they don't have to work. I reported three of those people to the authorities but I don't know what came of it. Fleecing the system is something I am STRONGLY against and I simply cannot believe that my mother was denied over such stupid inane bullshit. What happened to short term emergency disability?!

Wait....what? I missed the denial. What page is that on? Unreal. Still praying for your family.

UNREAL! Apply again! ...and again and again. Keep getting doctors to provide the paperwork and keep applying.

PM me I used to make medical decisions on those claims I will help your Mom get it. Do not give lawyer chance to rip you off.

My advise is that you continue do lots of research because you are your mom's best advocate. She is so lucky to have you! Many have given great advice such as the the budwig diet, gershen therapy, tumeric/curcumin, CBD/cannabis, juicing, etc. Also look into essiac tea. They all have their benefits.

The AMA/cancer industry makes trillions of $ yearly on people being sick - not cured. Many US oncologists would not perform chemo/radiation therapies on themselves or their families. And they would lose (and have lost) their licenses for saying that to their patients. Doctors get little or no education on nutrition and diet.

I hope some of the information will be helpful from someone who lost a mom and grandma to cancer and wished I had known back then what I know now.

I have emailed TTAC and asked if they can you send the DVD's of their previous mini-series' to your PO Box for free.

I'm kinda fuming that the system over there is set up to put decent people through more agony than is required - surely the strain of having to do all this re-applying and travelling etc is not good for your mum - adverse effects don't seem to be taken into consideration by a system that is almost archaic in its decision making

I'm stunned at her strength truly - total respect for her

you would think the system would be doing all it can to alleviate the 'extra' pain and suffering all the treatment requirements load onto someone undergoing this type of ailment - severity does not only come down to operation - its also all the 'add-on requirements' that seem to jump on the bandwagon at times like this

this lady definitely deserves more help than is being received - and as you say the unwarranted claimants and even worse the fake claimants are mainly responsible for the whole systems impersonal interaction with the truly deserving people whom are the one that the system was set up in the first place to help.

do not abandon this nice lady, your sister, to the systems automated delay initiative - keep as involved as you can, her mind must firstly have been devastated with the news of her condition - and totally on meltdown mode with the ancillary rubbish of 'join the queue syndrome' with papers to fill in like a paint by numbers for filtering the numbers down, delays and re-applications help the system only and it doesn't really care about consequences

one last point - its not necessarily the actual people you have to interact with at hospitals, doctors etc as they are following rules of practice and are as much a victim to the system as you yourselves are [rules and regulation that they are forced to adhere to]

hopefully Monday morning brings you mail from your DSS explaining its mistakes with rectifying implimentations

meanwhile I have a important question

is the P.O.BOX a permanent holding so as to send more each fortnight or is it temporary? if temporary please make sure we all know when it is no longer your box
