Anyone else having the horrid allergy attack?

I don't get seasonal allergies, ever, until this year. Constant drainage and coughing due to drainage. It's crazy.

Same here. I mean maybe a sniffle or two but this year it's been nearly debilitating.

Do you know what you're allergic to? Or could it be this?

Yep! Looked out the window a few mornings ago and saw a cloud of greenish/yellow Pollen, which looked like smoke going down the street.

Actually its been a light allergy year for me in NJ....Flonase kept most problems at bay....just a bit of itchy eyes....a few years back, it was so bad here that I needed a rescue inhaler for asthma attacks triggered by the pollen....so far flonase been the best allergy med for me Allegra is second best....I tried them all...

well it makes sense. If a coming front is kicking up wind and pollen the pressure would be going down also prior to its arrival. interesting.

yea i've tried allegra, claritin, zyrtec. etc. etc. Now I have flonase and a fast acting mist.

Thanks for reminding me of flonase, I can't smell, cough all day, asthma, pnd, draining, headache, nothing worked! I have not tried that flonase tho!

This year has been the worst for my allergies. Had a cold in January, relief after a couple of weeks. Then after a week of no symptoms, bam, it was back with chest congestion.
That was February. Just when it seemed cold #2 was history, it got worse. Couldn't figure it out until the news put up the allergen count.
Runny nose, itchy eyes, chest congestion since then.
It's been a miserable allergy period and many around here are suffering too. Even a news anchor hasn't been able to shake it.

I switched allergy meds from clariton to zyrtec. It been fairly effective as long as I take it twice a day instead of once.

yep. seems like the entire city here is coughing and wheezing. sounds like a hospital ER waiting room everywhere I go.

I NEVER have allergies and yet for the past 2 weeks I can't keep my lungs clear. I've been hacking shit non stop. No fever. No weakness. Just tons of crap from my lungs. Nothing provides much relief. WTH?

Anyone here get mucus in throat? its annoying like crazy!

I never really suffer with bad hayfever but snap at the moment. My nose was like a tap this morning. I'm taking a daily piriton tab but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

This has been the case with me too. I have never had allergies, but this year I have been having sneezing fits and water coming out of my nose. It appears to have slowed the past 2 or 3 days finally.

I have been drinking hot strong coffee, definitely helps some - esp with the asthma.

wow, i thought it was just me, and i thought i got a cold or flu or something. midwest here checking in. I very rarely get sick but when i do it hits me hard. the coughing and the crap in my lungs is horrid. cant enjoy a cigarette, cant enjoy my MJ, cloudy head, lethargic, runny nose. Shoot me, please

I use a neti pot and it does help. Normally I just use saline in it. When it's extremely bad I use oil of Oregano in it.. (get it imported from Greece, sells on amazon and isn't too much $). The trick is diluting it. It is so potent that even a drop is too much for the nose. Dilute it and then put it in the pot and do it. It may sting a little but it works.

Careful with the Flonase it can be addictive.
