From deep space the comet is not visible, and the Apollo astronauts who tried to photograph Bennets Comet failed. Mission control had some discussions and they had another go but no luck. So they thought about it some more and were about to make a 3rd attempt when those now famous words were issued,"Houston, we've had a problem". That was the end of the attempts to photograph the comet of course. Quoting: todayBefore the first attempt they were given instructions. They couldn't sketch what they couldn't see of course. They informed Command that they could not see the comet, or stars, through the sextant or the Optical Alignment telescope, or by eye, but Command was determined they get some photos one way or another. They never did. One interesting sighting though as they were approaching the Moon was of 2 shadowy shapes not far away from the spacecraft that they could not figure out. Probably their chaperones standing by to help them get home safe and sound. [link to www.thunderbolts.info (secure)] |

The earliest images of Jesus Christ emerged in the first through third centuries A.D., amidst concerns about idolatry. They were less about capturing the actual appearance of Christ than about clarifying his role as a ruler or as a savior. Quoting: todayTo clearly indicate these roles, early Christian artists often relied on syncretism, meaning they combined visual formats from other cultures. Probably the most popular syncretic image is Christ as the Good Shepherd, a beardless, youthful figure based on pagan representations of Orpheus, Hermes and Apollo. In other common depictions, Christ wears the toga or other attributes of the emperor. The theologian Richard Viladesau argues that the mature bearded Christ, with long hair in the "Syrian" style, combines characteristics of the Greek god Zeus and the Old Testament figure Samson, among others. These are mound of earth and stones raised over a grave or graves, originating with its use in Soviet archaeology, now widely used for tumuli in the context of Eastern European and Central Asian archaeology. Quoting: observationThe word kurgan ‘funerary mound’, is, as well as Central Asia and Anatolia used in Russia and Ukraine, but throughout South-Eastern Europe Kurgan barrows were characteristic of Bronze Age peoples, from the Altay Mountains to the Caucasus, Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria. Burial mounds are complex structures with internal chambers. Within the burial chamber at the heart of the kurgan, elite individuals were buried with grave goods and sacrificial offerings, sometimes including horses and chariots. Kurgans were used in the Ukrainian and Russian Steppes but spread into eastern, central, and northern Europe in the 3rd millennium BC. The monuments of these cultures coincide with Scythian-Saka-Siberian monuments. Scythian-Saka-Siberian monuments have common features, and sometimes common genetic roots. Also associated with these spectacular burial mounds are the Pazyryk, an ancient people who lived in the Altai Mountains lying in Siberian Russia on the Ukok Plateau, near the borders with China, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.[4] The archaeological site on the Ukok Plateau associated with the Pazyryk culture is included in the Golden Mountains of Altai [link to en.wikipedia.org] mound builders same as the usa same aeon to neeto Highest concentration of mounds is in Lithuania and some of them are still in use today for the same purpose and with still alive the same traditions. They did not spread from Steppes. Mound building evolved from stone-age burial places. It predates Scythian empire. Other places simply do not have "missing link" as it did appear, spread, then disappeared. yes certainly our northern hemisphere is mound orientated The series of ongoing studies of Scythians marks a transition into the realm of truly ancient DNA analysis, with some of the samples dating back to 4,000 years ago. The findings offer a new look at the life and culture of Scythian tribes, as well as providing broader insights into the humanity’s past. Quoting: today[link to www.newswise.com (secure)] |

Yet a very real phenomenon is that the supposed experts in reading people, such as judges in a court of law and the cia in counteracting subterfuge from within, are exceptionally bad at spotting liars, even when they have doubts. We assume all people will display obvious hallmarks of lying. Its not true. That nervous people must be liars...not true. That a liar won't look you in the eye....not true. That strong confident people must be trustworthy. Not necessarily true... Even when our doubts nag and nag, we want to believe in people.
