It just occured to me that we might get into trouble for speaking in another language other than English. blink oops.

But yes! Thank goodness for the weekend! Today is my birthday. I turned 50. huffy

Things are getting better here. Hubby got a job working from home for Apple Ireland out of Cork, so we can basically move anywhere within Ireland now so long as we have a really good broadband connection :D

I'll be happy to move to a much more quiet location that doesn't have four pubs within close proximity to housing full of people who SHOULD be able to work, but don't. It starts about 9pm and ends at about 2-3pm during the week and the weekends are just nuts. There is a big hill with a walk-path that goes up to that housing complex and one Saturday night this poor lady, who was so drunk she should have been dead, tumbled down the hill. blink Hubby and I were in the process of calling an ambulance for the lady when her also very drunk sister came down to get her and simply said to us, "Don't bother yourself with her. She's just a drunk whore."

I have to think there are happier places to live in Ireland than where we currently do. I can not help but feel absolutely heartbroken for the state some of these folks are in. I don't know the circumstances, but to see people in so much obvious misery is something I'm not used to seeing.

I miss the cows, the haying season, my vegetable garden, canning time, and the sound of the wind. They seemed to have far less issues than people in a city. I am not cut out for city living at all.

Oh congrats then on both his new job and your birthday of course.

Glad to hear things seem to progress now. All good things take time or whats that saying? I can relate to your noise problems. I prefer the countryside too, but my gf lives in the city and there is a bus stop right next to her house. Luckily the noise is only twice each hour, but it sucks when the bus wakes you up at 6 am. So go try some place where the cows wake you up mooing at 6 am. :)
