Daddy long legs is poisonous but has no method of injection. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72323712 Hmmmm.....maybe to touch them? Last Edited by CelestialMaiden on 06/03/2016 11:36 PM |

Living in caves for thousands of years made us wary. 2. Like the centipede, the spiders form is so alien to us it invokes a natural xenophobic reaction to survive. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72327196 United States 06/03/2016 11:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Spiders don't phase or bother me. I don't kill them unless they are a black widow, which I've twice been bitten by. But not as bad as I expected either, just a nice red sore stinging for 2 weeks. Spiders eat lots of other insects, thank goodness, they help out. I treat spiders like praying mantises.. Snakes are a little different. Mostly, just don't like rattlesnakes too much, but see 'em out there quite alot. They haven't tried to bite, even as I often inadvertently jog 2'-3' away. Scorpions are cool, not too scary, but sometimes hard to smash with their exoskeleton shell. I once saw one approaching me in a grocery store on the floor, bag boy kept stomping on it about 4-5 times. |

A few years back I was driving between Reno and Doyle, CA and stopped at the gas station there at 395 and 70, and I was surrounded by millions of Mormon Crickets as I walked into the store. Pretty bizarre scene, if you haven't ever seen the swarming if those huge things all over the ground. I wondered where all the gulls were to eat those things up.. Cobras are probably the spookiest animal out there for me. |
