I do think it is important to be clear in what you are claiming - and claiming that there was a site use policy when you became a member that stated certain features would be provided for you, a policy that has been revoked at a whim, is misleading.

In all fairness 2X, nothing was ever said about the status quo changing. The proposed enhancements concerned the ability to activate the "ban immunity", the ability to pin one's own threads, the ability to download personal "smileys", the use of a possible GLP e-mail address and, if memory serves me well, that was about it.

At no time, was there any indication that the features which were currently in place for the use of registered members, would be removed. And that is our biggest "gripe" with what has so suddenly occurred in the last several hours.

the personal AV was also one of the features Trin included in this list of features. The PM's is the only thing I can not remember being discussed.

I couldn't care less about the personalised AVs not being available to non-paying members (if you recall, until earlier today I too had one, so that's not an issue) but the PM function is a "must" as far as I'm concerned. (What remains of the former member's log-on info box at the left of the screen is now nothing more than "Member's Area" (for changing personal details and AVs if desired) and the "Log-out" icon. Sorry 2X ....... not very impressive in my books.

I understand the PM's are important to you, and there are a lot of people complaining about the AV's and say they could care less about the PM's. Everyone wants what they consider important to remain - and to remain for free. I never expect to get anything for free, or feel that it is owed to me. So I am surprised that so many do.
