Officials are hopeful the rest of the money will be raised by the end of the year. There's another parcel of land owned by Wyoming inside Grand Teton National Park and the park service hopes they will be able to purchase it in the future. |

The land value then would have plummeted to next to nothing. The government would have gotten it for pennies on the dollar. Too bad for them they had to deal with the State of Wyoming, which would have fought them on such shenanigans. |

Fed trumps state. If the intent is to make the land part of the national park that surrounds it, then I wouldn't care if the Feds grabbed land from the state, as long as it's to incorporate it into a national park. I said it, deal. |

I know that actor from LOST ..Josh Holloway, owns a home over by jackson hole not far from there...property is EXPENSIVE around there. Quoting: TKC I see. The "elite" like Holloway can own land near there, but common plebes like us have our land taken away because it is an inclusion on federal property and then made into a park (that you can't do anything on it now-a-days)? |

I have already selected my new parcel within the parks system. I can make up new laws to enrich myself too. You did teach me this. The new land is called "Sanctuary" after all those cities. |

"It would be devastating for wildlife corridors, for the visitor experience, and also for that historic iconic view ship," said David Vela, Grand Teton National Park Superintendent. This particular spot is flat but contains a historical site called Mormon Row - favorite for photographers. Very close to the elk refuge. Lots of moose sightings in this area but not in this direct spot. There are already private residences on this street. It's east of the Tetons. It's actually pretty ugly land compared to the gorgeous surroundings. Flat, very little in the way of trees. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72386355 No natural land is ugly. Only people are ugly. |
