Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72306918 You clearly have never listened to pop songs much, there are countless thousands of songs that are very similar to each other. This is the way music is created. Theres little chance you could create a totally original piece that its also catchy and pleasing to the ear. If the court would have ruled Led Zeppelin stole, then they would have opened the biggest can of worms in history. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72443261 But, regardless, there's no doubt page was a thief, stole plenty of songs. Band was called Spirit, not Taurus The sum of the matter, when all has been considered: fear YHWH and keep His commandments, for that is man's whole duty. If you ask me that song(I still can't remember it's name,go figure)sounds more like 'Is there anybody out there'by pink floyd, and I now goddamn well pink floyd didn't steal anything from anybody. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72446321 ![]() 06/23/2016 03:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A Los Angeles jury has decided the band Led Zeppelin did not steal the opening to its classic anthem "Stairway to Heaven." Quoting: Brophy The federal jury reached its verdict Thursday, settling a point that music fans have debated for decades but didn't find its way to court until two years ago. The trust for the late songwriter Randy Wolfe claimed Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Robert Plant stole a riff from Wolfe's 1968 instrumental "Taurus" recorded with the band Spirit. Anonymous Coward User ID: 3763337 ![]() 06/23/2016 03:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The part they are talking about it was definitely stolen. They are exactly the dame and it is the main verse riff of the song. Zeppeling ripped off a bunch of people. They just had more talent and did the songs better. True story. Had they simply paid the people for the use of the riffs, everyone would have been happy. |
