I was sleeping. Got off work at 2am that morning, went home and had a couple beers, and then went to bed. Didn't find out about until headed back to work that afternoon.

Lived in Berkeley,California at the time and was in school. I remember that I was up working on homework for a class that morning. I received a call about the first tower being hit and kind of shrugged it off as an accident. A couple minutes after the call I tried to go online and couldn't do anything. So I went over to the television, turned it on and within 5 minutes saw a plane slam into the second tower. For the next few hours I was glued to tv. What was so sickening and sad was knowing and seeing the last moments of many people's lives. That is one day that has stayed etched in my mind.

Actually happened during my commute. I had music blaring in the car. Got to work and everyone was huddled around the owner's television he had in his office.
