Cool story bro but it's not about maxing out for me anymore. I do high reps (15-20) with 225

Benching is for posers. Deadlift/clean & jerk is a true test of strength.

Bout tree fiddy brah.

Most I've benched and could do three sets comfortably was 160 kg or 352 pounds

I spent about 20 mins on a bench in a park the other day.

It's all for posers. If you want to weight train, do lot's of reps and many sets. Build endurance along with strength.

Guys that go around bragging about how much they bench are embarrassing.

At 63 years old I've had to cut way back to 4 sets of 12-14 reps with 155. On a good day I'll go with 185. This is after 4 sets of military presses.

Once you turn 60 everything turns to glass so you are either careful or your in recovery for months. Sux as a former 310 presser many years ago.

My body weight. It's as much as I need to do. I'm not trying to impress other people.

I'm at 425 and gaining. I'll start my push week tomorrow for 450. 425 is my working weight. I have gone over 500 twice.

^This^ Saw a dude at the gym today benching 2 plates. Big chest with arms like a pipe. But he had little biddy chicken legs. Reminded me of a puffed up powdered Foghorn Leghorn chicken strutten around.
