This show is really good and is a GLP'ers wet dream. There is a ton of symbolism and the music is phenomenal.

-One of the main characters is a young girl with telekinetic abilities named Eleven (11, I mean c'mon) who escaped from a facility that has contacted another dimension.

-The facility was doing MK Ultra experiments and she was a patient there and even has a handler.

-The show references the light and dark sides of the world as different dimensions (check the scene with the cop in the library on the checkerboard floor discussing MK Ultra).

-The name of the town is Hawkins which I believe was chosen as a reference to the physicist Stephen Hawkins who has warned us about tampering with alternate dimensions.

These are just a few things that I think would interest GLP users. If anyone has any other symbolism that they noticed, feel free to keep listing things.

This show is some straight up conspiracy shit. I haven't finished it yet but I'm loving it. I wonder what the writer's GLP name is.

(I tried to intrigue you without giving away too much)

Ep:6 here... Glad they finally got to a part that doesn't have Rider pulling a Shelly Duvall on crack through the entire series, but it's kinda fun. Classic Stephen King genre meets X-Files sorta bang-up job.

Saw the show - well 8 episodes for now - and loved it !

Some parts of it reminded me of bits from the Fringe series.

Does anyone remember when that awful creature washed up on the shores of Montauk, somewhere right near that "time travel" place?

Help me out here, I am fuzzy on this. Seems like it was around 2000 or so? (I can't remember when it was.)
