Duat do what
An origin story of purpose

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Duat (pronounced "do-aht") (also Tuat and Tuaut or Akert, Amenthes, Amenti, or Neter-khertet) was the realm of the dead in ancient Egyptian mythology. It was the realm of the deity Osiris and the residence of other gods and supernatural beings. The Duat was the region through which the sun god Ra traveled from west to east during the night, and where he battled Apep. It was also the place where people's souls went after death for judgement, though that was not the full extent of the afterlife.[1] Burial chambers formed touching-points between the mundane world and the Duat, and spirits could use tombs to travel back and forth from the Duat.

Note Apep lies just below the horizon

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Every day, storytellers said that Apep must lie just below the horizon. This appropriately made him a part of the underworld.

The purpose of the battle was to uphold Ma'at

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Ra was the solar deity, bringer of light, and thus the upholder of Ma'at. Apep was viewed as the greatest enemy of Ra, and thus was given the title Enemy of Ra, and also "the Lord of Chaos".

Remember

The Egyptians say that the divine right of kings was taught how to restore order and balance and avert chaos. And by uniting upper and lower Egypt and restoring Ma'at, threat of crisis averted. It was tied by lotus plants on the windpipe.

How one perceives their surroundings is important as the eyes are drawn to focal points naturally. The closer to a focal point the more exposed one is. It is likened but different to standing waves. The nodes(focal point) and the antinodes(deadspace/void).

In Egypt the Anunnaki were called the Neteru.

Thoth was Ningishzida, the Son of Enki, who was Ptah.

Ra was Thoths brother Marduk.

Thoth was also called Hermes by the Greeks, his city was Hermopolis. But the Romans called him Mercury because they know these gods by their Planetary personifications.

Osiris is the Anunnaki Dumuzi.

He was the Love of Inanna aka: Isis or Ishtar.

Dumuzi was known as a Shepherd and he was another brother to Marduk and Ningishzidda.

He was also known as Tammuz.

The son of Inanna / Isis / Ishtar and Dumuzi / Osiris / Tammuz is Horus.

The Duat was the Saturn like rings that used to encircle the Earth.

When the rings collapsed it rained for forty days and forty nights.

Between the focal points, called dead space, or space between, or void, etc..., is where predators lurk and prey hides. This was vital to early man in knowing and is now just a means of energy conservation for detail processing.

Horizon and awareness will be talked about later with this, lol

So, question, why would Ra want to keep an environment from altering by fighting it in the duat?

Maybe no seasons no change from sound, color, movement, and scent.

This just doesn't go with environment, lol

This goes back to origin scout. I have heard a funny story about the Lipan scouts. They are so bold they will hide right in front of you and you will see them after it is too late. They will hide right on the trail and focal point where one least expects. lol

Ships and horizon keep in mind.

Navigation was done with stars as focal points. Compass was for focal point to focal point and polaris was the sea star or pole star.

lol, just had a thought on archetypes as focal points for navigation heehee

Yes the Ekur is the Mountain House.

It is the Home of Enlil, also known as the Lord of the Storm aka: Zeus. The personification of Jupiter.

The greeks knew this as Mount Olympus, the mountain dwelling of the gods.

Ninmah, by the occasion moved, a poem recited and sang:
House that is like a mountain, house with a pointed peak,
For Heaven-Earth it is equipped, the handiwork of the Anunnaki it is.
House bright and dark, house of heaven and Earth,
For the celestial boats it was put together, by the Anunnaki built.
House whose interior with a reddish light of heaven glows,
A pulsating beam that far and high reaches it emits;
Lofty mountain of mountains, great and lofty fashioned,
Beyond the understanding of Earthlings it is.
House of equipment, lofty house of eternity,
Its foundation stones the waters touch, its great circumference in clay is set.
House whose parts are skilfully together woven,
The great ones who in the skies circle to a resting make descent;
House that for the rocketships is a landmark, with unfathomable insides,
By Anu himself is the Ekur blessed.
Thus did Ninmah at the celebration recite and sing.

Re: Duat do what
Very interesting topic, the other day I was having a discussion with someone on how people are different in the ways they approach change. Some seem to cannonball into an environment and immediately attack what they don't like about it and the friction result can be very negative-- even if the long term result is better for the overall group.

Then you have others who seem to immerse themselves into a quieter role of observation first prior to enacting changes which results in less friction but similar results...the second scenario or "change strategy" resulted in higher levels of productivity in groups afterward as the "happy feels" of the initial environment weren't destroyed or damaged during the transition.

I was initially looking at the ways that galaxies merge, planets crashing and all that-- two different spirals co-mingling, centuries later it will be one big happy galaxy. If only planets were people.

I like that. I do find it interesting all the boats/boat pits and causeways with the pyramid complexes.
The houses remind of a type of house built with pointed top out of grasses mostly which was different habitat.

Points/spin are where things go out and things come in. So I wonder if living in more of a square house like built todays way, it is more horizonal than vertical in frequencies.

Re: Duat do what
Note there is two and their synergy creates om or aum which goes back to upper and lower egypt, two. It is the baseline which creates the synergy of focal points(material) and dead space/void(nonmaterial)

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

The etymological origins of Om are unclear. Some scholars consider Om to have been variously held as the "cosmic sound" or "mystical syllable" in ancient India, or simply as "affirmation to something divine", or as symbolism for abstract spiritual concepts in the Upanishads.[11] It is found in most ancient layers of the Vedic texts such as the Rig Veda, dated to be from the 2nd millennium BCE.[4][11]

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

The open mouth is pronouncing the first letter of the Sanskrit alphabet, which is pronounced "a", while the closed one is uttering the last letter, which is pronounced "um", to represent the beginning and the end of all things.[2] Together they form the sound Aum, a syllable sacred in several religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

There are however exceptions to the rule in which both komainu have their mouth either open or closed.[3] The two forms are called collectively a-un[4] and individually as a-gyō ("a" shape?) and ''un-gyō (. "un" shape?).

hi Thanks. I rarely post around here but your thread amuses me.. would like to see its developments (:

Considering this forum as an enviroment I tend to act mostly as an observer, also I feel it repels me somehow, at specific days and/or because of long exposure, lol. Still, much can be scavenged around these territories.

The predator/prey relation exists within here aswell does it not?
