Y2K. Its the only "doom" i thought had a chance of actually happening. Im 16 years older now and still waiting on doom to roll around.

Fukushima was probably the worst one for me. Being right on the west coast sucks for that one. It's still ongoing too, sucks all the way around. I'm shocked it's not listed more in the thread.

Went from going out for sushi 4 times a month at least, to ZERO..

I miss it, but yeah.. some of my fave things are from right off the coast of Japan. Spanish mackerel for instance.

I stocked up on a ton of canned tuna and salmon when BP happened. That was pre fukushima, so that was handy. I still have a lot left. The exp dates were far out, and then 5 years past that I feel fine with.

Funny though, I'm not really much of a fan of either. I miss fresh fish. lol

Me too. I didn't stockpile (already have that) but it did make me think it might be the big one.

I still think the PTB are working on a strain to kill off a lot of people. Seems normal ebola doesn't quite get the job done.

I did kinda freak out and did some heavy duty shopping the first few days after they said the guy in Dallas had it. Luckily, I did know enough to get stuff we like and well rounded supplies and basic stuff that you need in your house regularly. So it wasn't a total waste in that regard, most everything did end up getting used eventually. There was a benefit either way though because it really gave me a good idea of what we actually need and how much of this and that so it was good for a trial run.

Yes. I thought the BP oil spill was connected to the sink hole was connected to the oil-eating-stuff (corexit?) they had used was connected to the FL zombie and it was all eventually going to make the New Madrid go off. Bam.

The BP spill got me but it has had lasting effects so it wasn't a complete miss.
