F-35 will cost $400 billion, and still doesn't have a working weapons system | |

Thanks, pals! Are you sure 72 will be enough? Don't worry. Our F-18 fleet is going to be retired in 2020s and the government/military is salivating over F-35. Not because of its stellar performance, but because it's an American plane. Personally, I'd go for JAS 39E/F Gripen or Eurofighter, but I'm pretty sure they'll buy more F-35s off your hands. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72267068 Donations, don't forget the donations. If the congressmen only get 1% that's $4billion for their reelection champagnes. And then there are all added on little personal perks. It's like you and me being able to vote ourselves a raise. |

That reminds me, how many trillions was the pentagon missing? not the $2.3 trillion before 9-11. $6.5 trillion this time. Crooks the lot of them. Congress always has very poor approval ratings and the bastards keep getting reelected over and over until retiring. |

It's like trying to breed a combined race horse/guard dog/milk cow. The resulting beast will surely be ugly as sin, and it won't be very good at any of its jobs. It will probably take a lot of money to produce as well. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72851168 Same thing with the F-35. no, not really. the how its spun. the thing can't fly in the rain and needs constant maintaince. it's a cash cow. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72826095 United Kingdom 08/25/2016 12:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | how could mil be so incompetent ... are they pretending weakness to entice world war? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33343805 I read war game reports before they were scraped off the net from US vs UK war games. I am telling you now, the UK has a black budget submarine which I don't think falls into the trident category. Like I would hedge a £1,000 wager that one of the submarines we have as our disposal has been paid for "off-budget", if you will. One UK submarine wiped out the whole of the US navy fleet without being detected. Like - the whole fleet, without being detected at all. To add to that we have porton down (which we know about), and also, I'd imagine, other off-budget facilities. I personally believe hand on heart that if everything was going to shit the UK is more than capable of opening a jam jar and placing it into a bin in the middle of a city centre then forgetting about it. That's it - We have the capability of releasing biological agents to wipe out specific races or genetics. Like "Gene xy00020202020 is only found in arabs with aggresive tendancies. Well xy00020202020 is getting a bit too fucking aggresive at the minute so let's open a jam jar and finish them off. I don't know but I know a lad who seen a dispoal facility for medical and nuclear waste in the UK where they bury it. His exact words I shit you not was "they seal them with the equivilent of concrete before bury them - I seen a squirrel run towards one once before it was sealed and when it got 2 foot away it turned over and dropped dead". There are weapons available that would blow your mind but they are kept as trump cards, literally. It's a case of trying your best to keep wars manual and not use the secrets, as if they do the world would melt. |
