Looking for a hint: a car forum without shitload of idiots who keep calling people n00bs and morons
I have asked many technical car related questions on GLP. While GLP is not dedicated to the topic, I've received the most useful advice here.

All the dedicated automotive tech forums seem to be populated by idiots, who descend on you and start picking a fight, calling you a n00b or a moron, while completely ignoring the original question.

So, do you have any good hints on what car forums are worth visiting when you have a technical question?

For instance,

-Wiring diagrams for a specific car model.

-Fault codes and what they really mean. I have a scanner and it gives a short description, but some of them are pretty useless. I've successfully used Ross-Tech Wiki to resolve some issues, but certain electronic faults are more obscure and not dealt with on that site.

-Helpful hints on pull cable from the engine bay fuse box to the interior. Again, model and mark specific information.

-All kinds of car quirks and shortcuts that can only be learned through experience.

Start that forum yourself, you have it all figured out, go for it. I'd sign up.
