Re: Gallup Poll for FEMA & Nuclear Disaster
FEMA put out an URGENT request for 5 MILLION bottles of water, to be delivered in 2 days. The request went out on Aug. 22.

Re: Gallup Poll for FEMA & Nuclear Disaster
It makes me wonder if FEMA is trying to find out if anyone is prepared for a nuclear event and if so now many since it is a nation wide poll?

they maybe want to determine what kind of resources are stocked up in private hands. I'd tell them I keep nothing at home and stop at the grocery store every evening after work.

How do you decontaminate after exposure to a nuke? What difference does it make if you don't have a gas mask or protection from further exposure. It would be in the air so how can you eat your food without it being exposed? Once you open a can...

They make me sick. They are probably going to drop one in an area least ready which they will know about from the survey.

I can't name the site but a very well known alternative site has been saying for a few years now that a dirty nuke will go off in Chicago. Bring it on. I will die with my pets. I know where I'm going and am at peace about it.

What?

People really don't understand radioactivity and radioactive materials.

The vast majority of radioactive "rays" can't penetrate your skin, and the ones that can generally are stopped by concrete, brick, water, or even wood to some extent. Basically staying indoors is a pretty effective strategy. Food is only considered contaminated if radioactive particles become physically present in the food, like a piece of fallout, for instance. A person can deal with exposure for limited periods to radioactive materials, you just mainly want to avoid ingesting, inhaling or otherwise allowing them into your body, because at that point, they would be radiating you from inside your own body 24/7.

If I'm inside my house, and there is fallout on my roof, and I open a can of soup, the soup is not contaminated. some attenuated rays might be hitting the soup, but that is not really problematic.

Good advice
Isaiah 5:20 KJV
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
