given some of the scriptural interpretation of the various dates and times involve, it is just possible that the end will come - and it could well be that much of the earths population is wiped out via this Nibiru planet or asteroid or whatever it is.

However, it is also clear from Scripture that the entire world is not destroyed in this event. a portion of the world will be spare and mankind will survive for a bit longer. We will see the implementation of a one-world government, a one-world currency, and un-imaginable cooperation between remaining countries as they try to recover from as much as 98% of their people being wiped out in a single afternoon or evening.

The people that are left will be an easy target for the "new" leader who will appear to have answers to the greatest issues and problems mankind has ever faced. He will appear brilliant and initially he will do much that is welcomed and for which many will be thankful.

But then he turns and declares himself to be God and demands worship from the remaining population of the world. Its all spelled out in Revelation clearly.

As a Christian I cant help but wonder if the Rapture of the Church out of earth and the devastation is going to take place before the big event happens? I certainly hope and pray that it does.

I believe that visions are glimpses into the truth and NOT symbolic AT ALL. However, I also know that as much as God prepares us for the things to come, that he will change his mind about certain judgments, like the judgment to punish people who do bad if they turn away from evil, or the judgment to bless people who do good if they turn away from righteousness. However, there are some things in scripture which are judgments which no one can pray away and thereby making God a liar. The only one I can think of is the last day, the Day of the Lord.

Then any hurricanes before or after B are not his judgments and can be prayed away.

Most ideas about Revelation come from worldly-minded interpretations - who knew the New Jerusalem is a giant planet/asteroid/moon hitting the earth? A Holy Spirit-filled child of God knows. So your assertions of what the world will look like according to Revelation are ones you settle on that have been settled on from worldly perspectives, but that doesn't mean they're true no matter how you rationalize them.

Jesus implied that most people in the world will be caught off guard as to the end, BAM, it just happens and then that's it. It's referred to as the LAST DAY. The LAST DAY of the Jubilee, of the 120th jubilee. And in the LAST DAY in the LAST HOUR is when then Lord will come because then everyone who could repent would be able to. He doesn't want to come any sooner.

As for all the judgments that shall befall the world on the LAST DAY, Jesus tells us to pray for ourselves to be counted worthy to escape all those things. The rapture will happen at once and in the last hour. HOPEFULLY that HOUR is symbolic on THAT day as the last hour of a Holy Spirit filled child's would-be life here on earth. Let's pray for that. Or it could literally mean that, although many Holy Spirit filled will die and shortly be present with their Lord, that had they been paying attention they could escape all the disaster to come.

If there were 10 righteous people Jesus would not have destroyed the cities of the plain. We know he found Lot to be righteous but maybe there were 8 more. We have no record if there were 8 more or if they escaped or were warned or what. Jesus saved Lot's family for Lot's sake, and Lot for Abraham's sake.


INTHELORDSNAME, the reason why figuring out the time before the decree is unimportant is because Jesus said he would cut the days short. This means an exact 6000 years couldn't occur because Jesus saw that even before his Last Day of the 6000th year that Satan would cause, most likely, nuclear fallout worldwide and no flesh would be left to experience the last day. I don't think the Lord cut the time short by days but by many years, and initiated his decree of the last jubilee according to him, for us to understand, by the decree on June 28, 1967.

The Lord is merciful. He's going to save all children in the rapture. Including children of parents that reject Him. The children will grow up into adulthood in God's heavenly kingdom. And will even get married. Children will be the main beneficiaries of the Rapture. They'll miss out on nothing.
