Infested with spiders!
Anyone else having a problem with spiders this year?

The other girl in the office killed 4, in about a 3 hour span.

Just now, there's one in my washrag, in the shower, AND in my towel. They were in 2 different places in my house.

The other night, laying in bed, and one crawls over my man's shoulder.

This house is getting bombed this weekend. No more grass, brown recluse or wolf spiders. Gonna leave it sealed up for a few days.

DIE YOU BITING LITTLE BASTARDS! I told you you could have the outside, and even the garage, but my bed?

Fuck you. 8 legged little brown bastages!!

The heat finally broke around here and we are getting cold and rain. If you are in a similar area, the end of summer could be triggering them to find shelter.

I live in Mexico and my backyard is currently infested by black widows, but I'm more terrified by the pesticides than the spiders so as long they don't bite me we are in peace or probably in a cold war right now.

Probably hobos. Where do you live? Spiders come inside for two reasons cold, wet or their is an abundance of food in your houses. Bugs running around and the hunters are just eating. There could be the possibility you are just in a good breeding environment. I love spiders. Don't kill them

Black widows dont seem to stray too far from their webs. Their webs are tricky because they are so sporadic. I was taping drywall on stilts and went into a closet, thought I hit a cobweb so I kept working. After about fifteen minutes of motoring around the house I got down. As I was washing my hands off I felt something on my neck. I wiped my neck and sure enough I had the biggest blackest widow i had ever seen now on my hand. I flicked it on the floo. I guess it never bit me

Food grade diatomaceous earth.

Sprinkle it everywhere and anything with an exoskelton will die. Completely harmless to people and pets.

There's nothing wrong with spiders outside your house. They will protect your inner home. They know this. They'll know where you live and not to go there.

August is their breeding time...and in the spring...unfortunately. I had this problem really bad once....I finally put a bug net up over the bed, tucked it into my mattress and slept soundly.

This year no. Three years ago yes. Has it been dry in your area? Usually a nice spring, less wet summer brings the spiders out here

Spiders have a sense that they will not go where you've recently been. They can tell stagnant areas that haven't been recently bothered.

Now I'll admit they sometimes get too big on the outside. I'm talking mini-tarantula size where they hiss (kidding) and flip over and over to scare you away (not kidding). The normal smaller ones we think of (which still seem huge) are ok with me.

Re: Infested with spiders!
Not in my house but at the back of my house outside the doors. I go out to sit on the deck and those fuckers are everywhere. Furrow spiders building their webs right in the doorway. We have to be careful not to just walk out otherwise its a couple spiders and web and dead bugs in the face. They're all on the back side of the house too around the big lights.

I am going to force them to move. I have plans.
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

I am an evil giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree than perhaps I should, so that other giraffes may die.

Re: Infested with spiders!
DE only appears to work on insects that have an exoskelton. The spiders don't mind it.

And Im not for killing things normally. Hell, I pick up worms off the concrete after a rain, but these brown recluses are horrible, and they're not scared of us.

I had not heard of walnuts. Just an old shell, or the whole big green ball?

Thanks guys! I appreciate any info! I'd much rather them just stay in the shadows...and not in my bed and folded up clothes.

Sprinkle spider killing powder around the foundation of your entire home.
Get them before they come in. The powder sticks to foundation
walls as well.
