There are many different human cousins that we are just discovering including the Denisovans. To date only bones from three individual Denisovans have been found and we don't know al that much about this race in our family tree. These elongated skulls from Peru just may be our cousins. Similar but not quite modern human.

Native Americans have a DNA link back to ancestors with a european connection.

This looks to be a fairy diverse mix that made many Native Americans.
