Make sure whatever alternative cheese you get does not have Casein in it. It is a milk protein. And why in the future there will be a post on my website about how it took me a year to go Vegan after I set my mind to it, because the Milk and Dairy industry just can't let go - and tries to put their crap into non dairy cheese.

I can see myself being vegan. It's just the damn cheese that's gonna be hard for me to give up. I don't mind giving up eggs or milk. But cheese . Some reason I love cheese :(. But my inner self is yelling at me "go vegan" lol. I'm like "isn't vegetarian good enough " . Lol

Look for coconut cheese OP. It comes in both solid and cream form and isn't as bad as it sounds.

Why is it that Vegans need to form their veggies into CHEESES, Fake Meats, etc?

You would never see a Carnivore looking for FAKE carrots, or fake broccoli for example.

I went vegan for 3 months after having a heart attack. Felt great for the first 3 months but then my hormones went haywire, I developed horrible food sensitivities and also developed irritable bowl syndrome. Not worth it folks. Just keep eating an omnivorous diet, it's what we're meant to eat.

If you have FAIRWAY where you are, they do too. They have some other unusual vegan items as well . Like vegan fois gras and terrine..

My stop and shop has also started carrying all kinds of vegan lines and items as well, so I don't have to drive out to whole foods anymore.
My whole foods is a good 20-25 min away .i do love some of their stuff, but there are more and more alternatives in other stores.

I'd also make sure there's no carageenan in it too. It's in many dairy items, but then you find it in things like soy and nut milks.
It's seriously toxic to the colon.
I won't buy anything with carageenan in it either.

Since going vegan, I've had issues with iron and vitamins.
I have to supplement with B12 daily, and I do a good multi every other day.
Friends who have been vegan for a long time told me to go buy Braggs amino soy, and use it in lieu of salt. I do for savory liquid foods.
Also use Himalayan pink salt. Full of good trace minerals etc, which I have done for years now.

But the last thing they told me about was nutritional yeast flakes.
They said it's called "vegans gold".
I'd never heard of it, but I read up on it, and went and got some. I even put a small shaker of it in my bag to use when eating out.

It has this lightly cheesy nutty taste. Someone told me they make lovely vegan Alfredo and beshamel sauces out of it.
So you could also experimemt with that.

They were forced by the USDA to accept selling GMOS.This occured years ago. They fight GMO labeling because just how many GMOS they sell would be revealed.

Their vegan items are generally non GMO. It doesn't matter where you shop anymore. Everyone carries GMOS, so they are all in bed with Monsanto

The best way to combat that is reading all labels and research. It's up to us, because the stores, by and large, don't care. We must do it for ourselves.

i was vegan for several years, but am ovo-lacto now bc of my current life situation....i may go back there with the exception of having eggs fom chickens i take care of...idk

I've tried Daiya cheese. Dairy, gluten, and soy-free. I didn't like it all and never bought it again.

Yup, a 75% raw vegan diet is a great cleanse to go on for about 3 months, but is not very sustainable in the long run.

The longest-lived people eat a diet that's predominately vegetarian with a couple of servings of fish every week.

Sardines with the skin and bones are the best, because they contain as much omega 3 fish oil as salmon, plus vitamin D, vitamin B12, calcium, magnesium, coQ10, etc. Also sardines are very low on the food chain, so they are low in mercury. They are live-caught, not farmed, so they have not been fed a perverted diet or given antibiotics. I would avoid Pacific sardines though.
