Hi GLP! Does anyone have a good OBE exiting technique that they like use?
I dont seem to have a problem getting ready for an OBE, the problem iam having is really knowing if my current focus/control is over my physical body or astral body.
I always seem to be afraid to move to check, and wreck my trance state, so ill just sit at the start waiting for cues, ie:vibrations.noises...etc.
If someone has a technique that they lik to use id appreciate the suggestion.
Thanks.

I used to pretend I was on a roller coaster, visualizing myself being in motion until I was under. My buddy used a similar technique where he would mentally spin the room.

My prep time for an OBE is about six hours. I take a hot shower, totally relax for about 30 minutes, and try to envision my earthly body as a beautiful unicorn, flying high in the clouds, observing the world below. Then, I eagerly consume about a quart of Canadian whiskey, mixed only with water. Ice added. After about 6 hours........Hoo, boy. OBE for sure, every time.epiclol

I find that if I try to physically move then it pulls me back into wakefulness. When I think about what I want to do instead of actually trying to move it goes better.

Drink natural brine with good salt (hymalayan) and monroe technique. Breath consciously... feel your breath, until it gets softer and softer, almost as if your body breathes. Focus on your breath, it will get deeper. Then wait for when you begin to see things with closed eyes. This might take come time and won't always work. But you can practice.

Easiest way is to just lay down, hands on the side, under a blanket, you need to feel warm and cozy. If you can, you can even try a salt bath before. The hymalayan salt works best for me for the natural brine. You need to drink a bit of it. Your body needs the minerals to be a good conductor for the electric impulses.

Observe how your vision changes with closed eyes. If you notice anything... slightest variations, sparkles of light or of such.. let them flow. Direct the energy there, by feeling.

So these are all good precursor steps thankyou, what iam after is the point when an exit attempt is made, a way to verify your focus is on your enethy body and still not rooted in the physical.

Try to look in a mirror or flip a light switch. If you are under then neither is likely to function as expected.

Thats for triggering a lucid dream, where the are both similar, in an OBE prep.state your sctually consciously awake in bed, possibly even seeing thd room around you.
But! Yes...flicking light switches is a great way to trigger a lucid dream, ive used it succesfully a few times my self

Re: Hi GLP! Does anyone have a good OBE exiting technique that they like use?
When I have them, there's always a loud rushing noise in my ears, as (I'm guessing) consciousness exits the body. Once I'm "out" the rushing noise is gone and I immediately feel disoriented and "stuck" by gravity to the bed I'm lying on. After a second, I always just "slide" off the bed and onto the floor. It's a really disorienting feeling, but the movement happens naturally. It's the feeling of being a little ball rather than a human body.

That's how I know I'm "out", and from there all movement and position requires conscious will.
i.e. to feel 6' "tall" I have to will myself up off the ground 6'. Etc. etc.

I would say for me it's the rushing noise. I focus on "allowing" it to draw me out rather than "trying" to get out. The rushing noise is kinda like a loud river, or rapids. The "flow" is what draws me out of the body.

My full prep is repeatable, been using it for 3 years. I set my alarm for 6am, wake up, drink water, and chew 5 melatonin pills, 5mg. Immediately lay down in bed.

The rushing begins in about 5 minutes.

YES!
It isn't up or down like one might think. I experimented with that to get good results. It appears to me to feel like (this sounds strange) exiting out -both- sides of my head from about the ear area, but it feels like my "being" is a vertical plane that exits out left and right side simultaneously. Like "expands" might be a better word. I describe it to myself as either expanding or entering into another dimension.

I found that focusing on forcing or pushing the direction of flow makes it harder to get out.

There was also a good amount of trust That i had to build up, it just took some time and practice. I would worry about the physical body- breathing, cramps, etc. But after a bunch of times (I was trying to get out "for good" when I started, actually) I realized that any time the body might become in distress, the OBE ends immediately. No worry/thought required.

That must be an interesting feeling. The expansion expression you felt could be an analog representation of the exit. I need that first " totem" to use as a reference point, and dang its sure hard to get.

It gets easier and easier the more you do it. Meditate LOTS and that first signpost will be "closer" to your normal waking consciousness. I've been meditating for a couple hours a day for years now, and when I close my eyes I am instantly in a different dimension. Not OBE, mind you; I don't OBE much anymore simply because I dislike 6AM and melatonin gives me a headache.

The most interesting thing I did while OBE was soon after a devastating break-up, few years ago. I met a being that showed me how to perfect movement and vision while OBE (vision was very blurry at first) and he showed me also how to move through time.

I moved backwards in time to another life, in which this woman (my ex) and I were married. There I met and interacted with both of them, and learned exactly what had led to the breakup that had happened in my current life. It was amazing to witness her and I stuck in that struggle, so long ago, and still there today, stuck.
