Fox news is out AGAIN on DirecTv

Same here, this happened just after I heard 5 wood-knocks out in the woods at 3:07 AM.

I know it just happened yesterday or the day before too.

It took about 3 hours before it came back on.

The only reason I even know is because I turned my TV on this morning and it was still on Fox when I was watching Hannity last night.

So far, it's not come back on.

Seriously, the wood-knocks freaked me the fuck out for a bit.

Every 15 seconds or so they kept happening.

This was no deer doing hitting it's antlers either.

They were very loud and actually sounded like very large branches being broken.

I have had quite a few Sasquatch encounters up around here, but this is the first time for actual wood-knocks/breaking branches like this.

Last time it happened, CNN was also out too.

It was on CH 342 for a while, ch 360 is where it is suppose to be, but that went off too. Tried watching on the laptop through directv site, but it won't stream.

Both Fox News and CNN are out for me.

now it is giving me some shit that it can't download the guide. I tried resetting the box, but the other boxes in my house are saying the same thing.

And it's not just us.

what I find strange is the areas it is out in.... conveniently all the states where Trump needs to win.... hmmm. Most likely no connection, but still...

Doesn't matter. I'm going to vote today as well as 5 family members for Trump then I'm going home to dump direct tv.

mines not working at all, I tried resetting the box but all I get now is that it can't download the guide which means I can't get any channels. Apparently no one is able to get through with customer support, but they are working on fixing it.

WA State here with Direct TV.

The place I am staying right now has it setup primarily for movie channels, so it does not even get CNN as far as I know.

It is out all over the place, concentrated around major cities.

I am clear out in N. Central WA, State in the mountains 250 miles north-east of Seattle and it is out here too.

So the outage is even more widespread than that map is showing.

in the comments at downdetector, it's the same thing over and over.... Cnn and Fox out and nothing else. A few have the problem I have where if you reset it won't download the guide again.

the other box I have I didn't reset so it still works but minus cnn and fox. Not sure if any other channels are out, I only checked a few

also strange is that for the last week or two while watching fox it would blink out, just for a second, then come right back. Not the normal blink out during a rain/snow storm, but like someone pushed a button and then turned it right back on.

The fact that it's only affecting a certain select channels makes it highly suspect, hacking perhaps? Not sure if this kind of thing can be hacked, but I don't see why not.

yes, the more I think about it, the more I think something is up here. But cable is still working. Still though, this puts millions of people in the dark essentially. It's a distraction from something, and considering the developments in the recent days, I'm not sure how this is going to end up playing out

OMG, I brought this up on Saturday! I have Comcast and lost Fox news, CNN and NBC for 2 hrs. All other channels worked?? COMCAST tech support could not find anything & admitted it was wierd . They said it also happened to ESPN. LAST NIGHT IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!! I missed Hannity. I do have a SMART TV, it may be this as I know these TV are like MS 10 all equipped spy tools, but it was a gift so...

hmmmm, I also have a smart tv, even though I never use it as that, I didn't even realize it was til after I got it home, hung on the wall and my kid was playing around with it.

I have no need for such a thing, but the price was good and I bought it because of that.

But I'm not using the tv for anything more than essentially a monitor
