Fox news is out AGAIN on DirecTv

I just don't see why they would do this if they were about to release something big... I mean, there are still other ways to watch TV, the internet, it's not like they cut the only link.

I have to wonder more if something was hacked, like their satellite or something. I don't know how all that shit works, so maybe it's not that simple. Just thinking

I don't know if it's the same for everyone else, but for most it seems to be only the HD signal, you can switch the settings to receive all channels, so you can watch it in standard mode instead of HD.
Go to settings > Display > Preferences > Guide Channels, and switch it to "show all channels" and then when you go to 360 you just do channel up and down to switch between standard and HD.
The picture is not optimal, but at least you can still watch it.

Maybe it happened because they started to report the actual news but I wouldn't have known about it since I stopped watching any news outlets for years except for GLP.

what is fusion tv? I don't think I've ever watched that channel

Neither have I. Never heard of it until it started showing where Fox news usually is. The channel description in the guide says "Fusion in a news, pop culture and satire TV and digital network for a young and diverse America."

also strange is that for the last week or two while watching fox it would blink out, just for a second, then come right back. Not the normal blink out during a rain/snow storm, but like someone pushed a button and then turned it right back on.

The fact that it's only affecting a certain select channels makes it highly suspect, hacking perhaps? Not sure if this kind of thing can be hacked, but I don't see why not.

Why does this problem keep happening? This is the first time it's been out for an extended period for me, but apparently this has been ongoing for many others the last couple weeks.
