The unnamed teen was given a three-month jail sentence, suspended for now, after he was found guilty of essentially publicly condoning a terrorist act or group. A neighbor saw the network handle and called the police, who arrested the man and, after determining he did note pose a terrorism threat himself, charged him with public support for terror acts. I have an Aussie mate that was a network admin back in the late 90's early 2000's that named his server clusters after the concentration camps used by the Germans in WWII. He was just being a dickhead, he wasn't a German sympathizer and it wasn't political.
He did it because he thought nobody would pick up on it, he was just being edgy young guy. |
