Donlad trump/people magazine 1998 Well, this is true--certainly a large amount of blindly Republican Americans are right here on this site. We are swimming in it here, with highly emotional screeching against "libs." I do however think that Fox in recent years has been actually less-biased, relative to other mainstream media. Other sources have seemingly gone off the deep end with a liberal bias, losing ability for objective coverage, such that I found myself agreeing with the Fox coverage--something I would never have thought would happen. ...We could see Trump's comment as hopeful that he can see beyond party lines, that he has a view more broad than the lowest common denominator Republican...even if it is colored by his big ego in this comment. How come that comment from 1998 wasn't dragged up by anti-Trump, pro-Hillary forces? They weren't on their game. But probably because they actually didn't feel that smart-ass remark (assuming it was even transcribed correctly) made Trump look bad. Liberals in the media and throughout the political establishment tend to project their own traits onto their opponents. So while stupidity and dishonesty are ingrained in the thinking and behavior of the left, the liberal elite still believe such qualities are true of Republicans, not Democrats. You should long remember this election as a glaring example of just how corrupt and hypocritical the liberals of the media and elsewhere really are. And never buy into the false notion that liberals are big-hearted people who make nicer, better places and people. It's a fake quote, for starters. If you did not see a man transformed by meeting the American people and getting to know them and listening, really listening to their problems then you are willfully blind. Like all of us people are changed by their life experiences, the donald trump of 1968 does not resemble the donald trump of 2016 and that means people have to ability to grown and change. What is concerning about the libs is that many of us faced them with truth and facts and they chose to be willfully blind. That does not bode well for the future of our country. I do not disagree with you. It has been baffling to me to observe the continued loyalty to Obama, despite how little he has done for this country. I wanted to believe in him initially, but he is merely a brilliant pied piper of pretty words (by a speech writer, no less!) that keep our heads in the clouds of socialist ideals, lulling common sense and leading us off a cliff. There will always be young souls, only able to see through their "liberal" or "republican" lenses (though, I think there is some room for growth within a lifetime). ...Did not scores of diehard Republicans blindly agree to their messiah G. W. Bush's call for war to find WMD's after 9-11, while the rest of us were flummoxed that they could lend their support to what was an obvious open-ended, unjustified goose chase? Both sides can be had by their fixed blind loyalties to ideologies. As I said, I would like to be hopeful that Trump can maintain his position as being his own person. Despite his faults and rough edges, he is a rare and refreshing specimen on the political landscape, apparent to those of us who are able to use our intuition to discern, outside of blind party affiliations. Yes, it has not happened in my lifetime, someone who is not the usual bought-and-paid-for puppet being shuttled into the position of POTUS; someone not compromised by skeletons in their closet that TPTB use to keep their minions in check with, as they allow the POTUS to play with pretend power. Yes, I can overlook the past clips of Trump that were rolled out by the Hillary campaign, because I do sense someone who honestly wants to make a go of this. I don't know if that was true in the beginning of this--that he really knew what he was getting into, that he really took this quite so seriously...but I hope what you say is true--that being responsible for upholding the hopes of real people will keep him accountable and sincere and committed. ...I still don't know if he gets what he is up against. I mean--are the seas suddenly going to part for this guy? Is the Machiavellian machinery that runs the world going to dismantle? ...Or is his election itself a sign that that machinery is dismantling? I would love to think this is so, but I may be idealistically naive. I don't know how much we can expect in four years, but if this is a small start to a new wave of truthfulness in world leadership, I would be happy. If he doesn't completely crumble under the pressure from the black hand behind the scenes, I will consider it success. ...According to a poll someone referenced in another thread, there was surprising Trump support from white college-educated and white women. So, I would say that he is coming across as something more that typical. He is indeed outside the box, and is more that he is categorized to be by the media. I say this myself as a female...and I am gay. Just to put it in perspective...there are thinking people from all walks of life. |

Did trump make better empty promises he can not keep? Will Trump steal less money from you? Will Trump pardon Snowden, Manning, or Assange? Will he shrink the military and bring the troops home from the wars? Will he shut down the private banking system? Will you be any freer Wednesday morning? Government can not exist without breaking every one of the 10 Commandments. Why cheer on any participant of such an immoral institution? Is it moral for Trump to steal from your neighbor for what you want and immoral for Clinton to do the same thing? Behind every great fortune is a crime. Trump inherited much of his wealth. Trump is just a nicer criminal than Clinton. Fuck off If you cannot see this as a major shot across the bow of TPTB, then nothing can help you. Lovely to see the Spiritual SHR back in action here!
